Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

Reviews
Campaigns force you to use the highly unwelcome "remastered" soundtrack and new graphics. UI is now lifeless like all the rest of the AoE "Definitves". HD graphics makes the game prone to stutters, and of course, there ARE revisions to certain facets of the game (go ahead, guess) -- so you're NOT actually getting the 100% original experience. Finally, why is this 150 mb game now 12gb? If you're really DYING to play AoE1 like in the good old days, go for it, I guess.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I loved this game when I was a kid and was looking forward to getting back on it. But, and I don't know if this is because my standards have been brought up by modern gaming, I found it so clunky and frustrating. You want me to walk the two steps to the transportation boat I can see? I'll give you walking in the opposite direction in land instead and ignoring the boat. You want me to not wander off to my death chasing after a villager? Sorry, I'm on the other side of the map already. I know these were the quirks of the original game, but 30 years later I've lost all patience with it. Maybe I'm just old but I can't subject myself to this torture.
Mi amigo me invitó a jugar Age of Empires y dijo que si publico una reseña sobre el juego y obtiene 100 Me gusta y 10 premios, me comprará una caja de cerveza y unos cigarros. Así que dejaré esto aquí...
I don't really recommend this unless it's on a deep sale. Why? Because the sequel now has Return of Rome which has all the content of this game in a better engine, and with a few more campaigns to boot. And in most cases it's cheaper than this game, unless a sale is going on. Even when they're both on sale it's a very minor difference in cash and a chunk of data more because one is a DLC. I just don't see the point now, unless you can get this game close to free from a key seller or something like that.
I don't remember the game being this hard. I played the original back in the day and now I can only do the tutorial on easy mode.
Pathfinding is bad, I remember it being better on the original. Ill complete all the campaigns and be done with this game.
Still surprisingly fun. The gameplay loop is simple but addictive: gather resources, build up, age up, and overwhelm your enemies. The Definitive Edition makes it look and sound way better without ruining the original feel. Campaigns are solid, soundtrack still slaps, and there’s plenty of content to mess around with.
+ Solid remaster of the original game - Conversion of units by priests is probabilistic/non-deterministic - Has simple graphics but it is unable to maintain 160 Hz refresh rate - No autosave - Population is limited to 50 - Some missions have ambiguous description of objectives - Suboptimal pathfinding in constrained spaces - The game can crash in the 'Save Game' menu if particular keyboard keys are pressed - Units cannot be programmed to perform conditional sequences of actions
Katastrophales Wegfindungssystem macht das Spiel nahezu unspielbar. Der Schwierigkeitsgrad ist selbst auf der niedrigsten Stufe viel zu hoch.
