About

You are Maeve, ex-mining engineer for the Astral Resource Corporation - ARC - a galactic megacorp that profits by draining entire planets of their resources.
As you take on your own mining claim, you'll explore the remnants of a doomed science expedition and the abandoned facilities they've left behind as Maeve strives to build a stable life of her own, outside of ARC’s control.
Armed with nothing but her basic mining equipment, tales from her beloved grandad, and her loyal AI drone companion, can you unravel the mystery of an incredibly powerful new element and uncover the dark secrets that the corpos would rather keep buried?

Use the simple but powerful modular building system to create your own mining operations hub filled with dozens of types of refining, processing and crafting stations.
Grow plants, raise fish and prospect for gems in your cozy habitats which you can decorate with almost any item you come across.

Descend underground and use lasers, explosives, drills and more to gather hundreds of different resources from your mining claim then refine them and craft new tools for exploration.
Upgrade your suit and mining drone companion to explore deeper and further into the world.

Built from the ground-up with story at its heart, uncover a dystopian corporate conspiracy and decide how far you’re willing to go for the truth.

I really wanted to like this game but the controller support is not very good. I felt very lost trying to figure out how to navigate menus. A game like this really needs to build a UI that works with controllers and this one does not. They just added controller support in on top of K&M and it just does not work well. Other than that it seemed like a fine game.
More tedious than fun, which is a shame, because it is fun. EDIT (after developer response): The best thing about Aethus is the voice acting, which absolutely carries the story. Everything else just feels like a formula for mass appeal, a mashup of other games that just gets boring. While I did enjoy playing for a while, even the good parts of the game weren't compelling enough to keep me from abandoning it. Aethus is fundamentally, at it's core, a tedious game. The player is required to revisit uninteresting locations multiple times. The camera feels limiting and occasionally perilous. Crafting, regardless of the settings, becomes a slog. There's even an achievement requiring the player to craft FIVE HUNDRED food items. If you're the kind of player that likes to "Hundred Percent" a game by unlocking everything, you're probably going to get bored doing it.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Really surprised with how engaging this game was. It was nice to have a purpose and a story blended together with a tech tree builder game. Felt rewarding to keep going for the next clue and next area to see what was next, or to solve a required task. I give it a 9/10 for being a really solid tech adventure game.
This game is awesome! I just finished it and holy moly, what an ending! About 30 hours of exploring, gathering, crafting, and building. Pretty much what you'd expect from this game. But the story, which started inconspicuous, developed and got more and more captivating and deeper. And the amount of audio dialogues between the characters create a wonderful immersion into this adventure. And that's what lifts this game into top league. This was a memorable experience.
Great game, great story! Not an automation game.
I do not like the grind.
All I can say is ....Wow...I did not expect to get pulled into a little game like this. I judge a game by the way I feel at the end when it is all over and I have to say I was stunned at how good it was.I am an old gamer and this game made me feel like I was playing Parasite eve or Legend of Zelda for the first time. You did a fantastic job and I thank you for the experience.
I really liked this game as an enjoyer of base-building/survival crafting. There is a lot of opportunity for customization in the way you build your base and the resource-gathering becomes fairly autonomous after a while. The devs focused on story for this game which typically I don't care about in a game like this but it was pretty enjoyable. My only complaints are 1) the interface focusing on mouse even with controller was a little jarring but pretty easy to get used to with just some minor quirks (game plays fine with remote play/steam deck) and 2) the last two achievements about cooking and mining are just tedious. One of those things where you do everything else and you still have to spend an hour or two just grinding very boring tasks. Also for achievement hunters, be aware that one of the achievements require that you only ever consume vegetarian options for food. I almost missed that and would've locked myself out of getting it. Overall, I definitely recommend this game for people who like the genre or think it looks neat. It's super well polished, plays well, and is just fun.
just finished the game, really enjoyed my ride ! but GRANDPA ! COME HERE ! WE. NEED. TO. TALK !!!! voices are great, story are great, gameplay is really cool, many QoL are hjere the game is not here to punish you, quite the opposite, Well done ! And thank you :) (it says 39H for completion, but i dont shut down the pc, that would explain the 118H ^^)
I'll try to keep it short. The game has Subnautica vibes in some ways. So, if you like exploration, base building, and a rich story, you should definitely give it a try. It's a perfect example of how small indie studios and solo developers are trying to save the industry. Personally, I had a lot of fun playing it over the weekend, and I loved all the little details the game has to offer. I'm not a professional critic, so I don't want to bore anyone reading this review with a step-by-step analysis. Yes, there are probably some things that could be improved and polished. But in a nutshell, the game has really good lore, a pleasant, non-violent atmosphere (instead of the usual "kill them all" approach), and lets your brain relax for a few days-or even longer. All I want to say to the developer is: thank you, great job, I want more.
