This is an enhanced poker game. The early game could be a bit RNG dependent and slow paced. Mid to late game are much more enjoyable once you level up enough and get most of the key cards. At the end game you can finish most of the enemies before they move regardless of the draw. Overall it's quite a fun experience. Achievements require S rate and above for all stages and max level for all characters. Hunter Archer build and Enchantress Debuff build are highly effective builds that can breeze through all stages with S+ rating easily. I didn't deep dive into other characters but I'm sure there are other powerful builds. Max level for all characters will need some grinding. Just for reference, I completed all stages with S+ around 25-30 hours and another 10+ hours to grind all to max level. The game runs fine on steam deck but the text is too small to read. So it's more recommended to play on deck when you no longer need to read the text.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Aces and Adventures is a deep and complex deckbuilder that is sliced up into bite sized story chapters. I didn't find this format all that enjoyable, but the overall game is still amazing and the voice acting and delivery is top notch. The base game provides five different classes and eventually a generous amount of cards to select from. Later on, there will be more map based path adventuring which I find much more enjoyable. The initial game is very slow and it might turn some players away too soon. The game gets much better after several hours after you get some improved traits, abilities, and useful cards. Although the game uses poker hands, I find the game is more about strategizing how to best use your abilities to minimize damage to your character. At a certain point, most characters will just snowball through the chapters and RNG becomes a moot point. There are even additional 'at-a-boys' for speed runs. The game continues to offer more selection the longer you play. Yes, it is a bit grindy. But it is still a fun game and it takes many runs to understand many of the games nuances.
This game is very weirdly balanced, I really want to like it, like really really want to like it, but the ability deck building is up to pure RNG if you can get the cards to even make a deck that you want to play, summons have an arbitrary limit on one character, and always going for defense is objectively the best option at all times despite that they try to give you so many ways to attack better, except if you take the attack you're left to defend with unknown cards against enemies that will always draw a pair of jacks OR MORE whenever you want it least. The story and voice acting is primo top of the game, and I can see this idea being executed nicely, but the game itself just feels aggravating to play with weirdly insane difficulty curves that rng does not help with. You will almost always play a pair in most rounds, and fishing for a high card attack is asking to die, because once again, defense builds are always objectively more powerful cuz you're defending against known cards rather than relying on RNG not to screw you (which it will 6/10 times)
I don't get it. The game just plays itself. Is this a clicker? What am I doing here? Do I have choices or is this just a glorified screensaver?
While an interesting concept, the game suffers from a critically unbalanced card pool. Some characters can walk through every enemy without letting them act (like the Mage), and others offer really absurd power gaps between a "good" turn and a turn where you are ending the run (like Enchantress). Attempting to backtrack and do older missions to grind up mana for levels only results in you running into Lv 1 enemies that somehow now have the Divine Light Of Victory leaking from their pores, and you will never see an opposing attack lower than a Pair ever again. If these foxes and bears were playing these hands in a casino, they'd have broken kneecaps in 20 minutes. I'm mixed on this game, because it's interesting enough that you can definitely find fun in it, but the game makes you fight tooth and nail against the House, and unfortunately the House always wins. I definitely do not recommend this at full price. Get it on one of those deep cut sales.
