About
You are not the hero. You are in charge.
In Acceptable Losses, you are the officer behind the line. You make the calls. You assign the missions. You sign the forms while your men bleed for inches of mud.
Each day brings new orders. Send squads on patrols, trench repairs, wiring parties, or assaults.
At night, face the paperwork. Read incident reports. Review medical updates. Scan intelligence briefings. Hope reinforcements arrive on time.
Balance your duty to HQ with the lives of the men under your command. Survive twenty days. That is all they ask. Perform well and gain influence to tilt conditions to your favor. Perform poorly and they take them back.
Deliver acceptable results and you may be ordered Over the Top. Survive the assault and you will be tasked with holding the captured trenches until replacements arrive. Fail, and you will be held responsible.
Over 60 missions ranging from routine trench duty to full assaults
Every Mission has at least 6 Outcomes
Over 120 mid mission events that shift outcomes in real time
Over 30 night events affecting squads, supplies, and trench conditions
Over 15 modifiers including morale, fatigue, weather, and enemy readiness
Randomly generated soldiers with unique names and birthplaces
Permanent death within your squads
Join missions personally for a leadership boost, but risk injury
HQ evaluations that determine your standing and whether you earn the chance to go Over the Top

I played the demo when it released, and ive never enjoyed a game like this until now. Usually i stick to more modern style 3d games, but there is something so fun, so relaxing, and so enjoyable about this game. I would recomend anyone I caould, that they need to buy this game, its cheap, and worth it. Such a great game!
Very highly recommended. Only issue is the replay ability. The missions get repetitive after a couple runs. When I broke through the first trench I thought this would open up more options. It initially did, then the game ended, said I won. In the future maybe we will get more trenches and missions to achieve victory over. Until then, a fun game.

Very fun, but I feel like it could use slightly less RNG and a lot more play time.
It's cheap and fun with a surprising amount of replayability. Support the devs, it's a ton of fun!
It feels pointless to make choices since the game will just randomly decide to kill of multiple of your men within the first minute of playing. On the first day, I have guys getting killed or wounded on 2 star difficulty missions, you have to send them out as well so there's legit nothing you can do when the RNG decides to murder my guys for a simple resupply mission. I lost 6 guys on day 2 on a 2 star mission that I sent my guy to watch over as well, game is brutally unfair just to be unfair, this is not challenge, this is luck based. A suggestion would be to at least add a percentage icon to the UI around each mission to show the chance of success and attempt to punish the player for actual mistakes.
love the game, wish it was longer but regardless best of luck for the dev future title
captures the feeling of WWI management; people who complain about the lack of agency and randomness are missing the point this is supposed to evoke the feeling of a lack of control, as that is what most management positions are in warfare I do admit the RNG can be a bit harsh sometimes and it being this strong can reduce the impact you have, while it makes for good atmosphere and vibes it does mean it can feel like your gameplay decisions are meaningless overall very good game that knows what its going for, and is worth the price it is listed at
Cool game about WW1 squad management you Lead squads and do missions , first try i was left with 1 brother squad with 5 people and i failed for cons is that game is very repetitive, so for now it becomes boring after few runs still i recommend it
A good if short WWI text-based strategy game. Hope there's more content in the future! For a sad time, name some of the soldiers after your friends.
I've had great fun playing this game, would recommend. Quite a good price even though the game is short.
