About
You are not the hero. You are in charge.
In Acceptable Losses, you are the officer behind the line. You make the calls. You assign the missions. You sign the forms while your men bleed for inches of mud.
Each day brings new orders. Send squads on patrols, trench repairs, wiring parties, or assaults.
At night, face the paperwork. Read incident reports. Review medical updates. Scan intelligence briefings. Hope reinforcements arrive on time.
Balance your duty to HQ with the lives of the men under your command. Survive twenty days. That is all they ask. Perform well and gain influence to tilt conditions to your favor. Perform poorly and they take them back.
Deliver acceptable results and you may be ordered Over the Top. Survive the assault and you will be tasked with holding the captured trenches until replacements arrive. Fail, and you will be held responsible.
Over 60 missions ranging from routine trench duty to full assaults
Every Mission has at least 6 Outcomes
Over 120 mid mission events that shift outcomes in real time
Over 30 night events affecting squads, supplies, and trench conditions
Over 15 modifiers including morale, fatigue, weather, and enemy readiness
Randomly generated soldiers with unique names and birthplaces
Permanent death within your squads
Join missions personally for a leadership boost, but risk injury
HQ evaluations that determine your standing and whether you earn the chance to go Over the Top

Absolutely wonderful simulation game with great vibes, knows what it wants to be and does it very well. Low price point makes it an easy recommendation.

really fun, theres a ton of different ways the game can play out, but more endings or options would be good

An absolute gem, I love this game. I enjoy the simplistic and straightforward process. Get orders, assign squads, pray it works out, even assigned squads to the best fitted missions do not guarantee success. No bugs or problems either, play it. This game is a 10/10.
Very cool concept. Wholelot of potential outcomes when playing the campaign
Pleasantly surprised, very good concept for a game, hopefully it gets an endless mode and some much deserved updates.
The squad management in Acceptable Losses is elegantly streamlined yet relentlessly tense. Combined with an evocative art direction, the game grounds you entirely in its bleak reality. Those frustrated by the unforgiving RNG, you are missing the point. War offers no guarantees. You can meticulously stack the odds in your favor through smart tactical decisions, but absolute certainty is a luxury you never get. That inherent unpredictability isn't a mechanical flaw, it is the exact experience the game is trying to convey. Step in and experience it yourself.
I enjoyed the game very much! A mix between 2D management and gambling with lives. It has a high learning curve, with no guarantees. Your soldiers will try their best, but the best might not be enough. -If you are looking for another “make numbers go up”, this one might not be it. -If you are not afraid of scratching a few names into the table, I can warmy recommend this one! Or just try out the demo, its free!
definetly the good characteristics outweight the bad ones, the only problems i see so far is the lack of content ,rng and repetitiveness, but thats acceptable due that the game just came out. when the game starts getting periodic updates i can see it going from a decent game that you can play for a few hours to a good game you can see yourself playing regulary
A very interesting design, well executed. Doesn't take long to finish a "tour" but but it's only eight bucks. There are never enough men for the jobs that need doing. Every casualty hurts. Command has too many demands for the squads you have available. The best you can do is pick the best men for the job and hope they succeed. Good command experience.
