This game knew exactly what I wanted out of it before I even knew what I wanted myself. Going into it blind, ABZÛ is somehow even more peaceful than I could have hoped, more gorgeous than I imagined, and deeper than I could know. It is full of mysteries whose answers often lead to more questions in a satisfying way. This game is all about the wonder of exploring, and the fantastical world that exists on our own planet Earth. You'll have a favorite fish by the end of the game, if you don't already have one. If you like the exploration in Outer Wilds, the biodiversity of Subnautica, and the stunning art and music of Journey, this game is made for you.

Wow... this game is absolutely gorgeous. The visuals are stunning, and the overall atmosphere is simply beautiful. From the moment you dive in, you're taken on a wonderful and emotional journey through the underwater world, where you encounter countless beautiful marine creatures along the way. The game doesn't rely on action or complex mechanics—it lets its world do the talking. Exploring the ocean at your own pace is a relaxing and memorable experience that stayed with me long after the credits rolled. The game also ran flawlessly on the Steam Deck. My only criticism is that it's a bit short. Still, it's the perfect game for a cozy evening when you just want to immerse yourself in a beautiful world for a few hours. Overall: 9/10

Out of all the games I've played, ABZÛ is the only one that gives a genuine sense of therapeutical relaxation. I couldn't recommend it more as an amazing short experience, though such short length may make it wise to purchase it on sale. The stunning visuals and music coupled together make this an artistic gem!

Wow. An unfortunately short experience, but a powerful one nonetheless. If you let it, this game can utterly absorb you. Even ten years after release, the world feels absolutely alive and lush with vivid details. Every creature is intricately animated to life. And the [i]music[/i], OH man the music. Just as alive as everything else, and if you turn up the sound when it swells it will knock you off your socks. The obvious downside is the very short playtime. It's a slight tick above "walking simulator" with some fun and satisfying interactions as you swim around in each zone, but there's not much in the way of replayability (aside from finding all the collectables). It goes on sale often, and it's 100% worth the price even if this isn't usually your kind of thing.
