I installed this game because I had recently played subnautica and I wanted to scratch that underwater game itch, so I looked at this and said "oh this will bbe fun. I wasn't prepared for an absolutely gorgeous game with vibrant vistas and also plenty of creatures. I would give it a 8/10. While this game is swiming simulator I think it lacked some engagement with the wildlife. I also would like to have more conners with secrets to find, but no. It's a pretty game don't get me wrong, but it's more like a canvas than an actual game. Still recommend it.
I love this game. The visuals are so beautiful. The story is interesting. The places you visit are unbelievable. I like to play this about once a year to re-experience it.

[h1] 10/10 - Beautiful, Calming, Relaxing [/h1] This game really isn't as much of a game as it is a walking (swimming?) simulator. It's quite short, has gorgeous visuals, amazing music, and a neat little bit of exploration. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. Ended up becoming one of my favourite games growing up.
A beautiful journey through a blue ocean, ABZÛ clearly shows Giant Squid’s roots in designing waterscapes that is so apparent on its successor, Sword of the Sea, the studio’s latest game from 2025. While it doesn’t do anything innovative, the world design is gorgeous and inviting, the soundtrack fluctuates between loud and serene, and who doesn’t like a game trashing the ever-growing industrialisation of our oceans and the subsequent e-waste that fills them? Easily beaten in one short sitting, this is perfect for picking up on discount and playing during a weekend afternoon.

Absolute banger, love the gameplay and artstyle ! Definitely satisfying, and the fact that the character is swimming makes moving feel really nice and unusual compared to other games. Will definitely boot it up again just to free roam ! Enigmatic story, we pretty much get nothing about the character's backstory and the world's lore if not for the glowing frescos on the wall but i liked that unesolved dimension to the game. Depths and that big ahh infrastructure successfully triggered my thalassophobia and megalophobia at some points lowkey but it's not a scary underwater game. Love it !
While the underwater scenery is beautiful, it's not worth the game-time. If I didn't have my e-stim wristband for motion sickness, I probably wouldn't have lasted 15 minutes. Got to almost 2 hrs before I started feeling a hint a nausea. The controls are a bit slow to respond, which is annoying and likely a contributing factor to the motion sickness as well. If you're not going for the achievements, it's likely a quick run-through. Otherwise, you're trying to work with the slow navigation to search the areas thoroughly for the shells, pools, and meditation stones. Planning on finishing the achievement hunt, but this game was way too boring/slow for me.
