Very beautiful, simple game. One of those that feel more like an experience or really long movie. It's one of thsoe that I will definitely replay when the mood hits just right.

Eher nicht. Abzu ist schön, aber halt nicht schön genug, um über die Schwächen hinwegzusehen. Das Spiel ist linear, die Bewegungs-Mechaniken sind langweilig, und eigentlich ist alles ziemlich langweilig. Die Steuerung könnte besser sein und ultra wide screen ist hacky aufzusetzen.
Abzu is a gorgeous experience, filled with incredible visuals, leaning towards the artistic instead of realistic. It's a peaceful, meditative game. Very low stress, with the exception of a few short sections before the end. Abzu showcases a good variety of ocean life and their names, including extinct species. There is no dialog or text to read. The story is interpretive, and done with a show don't tell mindset, like murals on walls and events to be interpreted. The lore is based on ancient Sumerian mythology/beliefs. The game does have a somewhat spiritual feel, with a connection to the ocean and life being the key elements. Think "Moana". I can't recommend this game enough. While not very long, it's a game I've found myself replaying again and again on various platforms.

cute little game, I especially loved the educational side of it (=learning different fish names while in meditation mode >.<), however the controls felt so janky to me, it made it hard to fully enjoy it :c
