About

Crafted with passion by the dream team that redefined side-scrolling beat 'em ups, Absolum mixes top-of-the-class combat action with modern roguelite elements, bringing all the vibes of the fantasy arcade hits of the past into an immersive adventure set in the original world of Talamh.

Talamh has been shattered by a magical cataclysm caused by ambitious wizards, leaving magic mistrusted by the common folk. Sun King Azra took advantage of this panic, enslaving wizards through his Crimson Order and placing loyal princes to rule over the conquered realms.
As Azra’s forces claim more and more lands, the high enchantress Uchawi and a small group of rebels rise from the shadows, wielding forbidden magic to challenge his oppressive regime and defy his absolute magic power.

Meet the outcast heroes of Talamh, each with their unique fighting style.
From the shadows of Yeldrim, Galandra emerges as an unstoppable force of nature. Her colossal sword strikes with deadly precision, combined with chilling, destructive necromantic powers. Her calm demeanor is a thin veil, barely concealing the furious anger brewing inside her.
Karl is the last free dwarf of Talamh. Armed with an ancestral blunderbuss and his bare fists, he’s a master of close-range brawls and explosive tactics. What he lacks in reach at mid-range, he makes up for with raw strength and quick thinking, making him a stalwart ally in the revolt against Azra's oppression.
During their ordeals, two mysterious heroes will join them on a quest to overthrow the Sun King: Brome, a wizard prodigy on a mission to preserve the future generations of his people, and the enigmatic Cider, a nimble skirmisher in search of answers among the scattered fragments of their own soul.

Absolum combines Dotemu and Guard Crush’s mastery in beat ‘em up gameplay with Supamonks' best-in-class art and animation. With its fast-paced action and endless replayability, Absolum will challenge you with multiple paths to explore and unpredictable encounters for a new experience each time you play.

Take down Azra’s elite guard with a mix of rapid combo chains and spellcasting powers, unleashing moves that feel as raw as they are strategic. Use magical counters and rare items to turn the tide in your favor and experience a combat system that demands skill and timing, pushing you to craft new strategies at every run to wreak havoc among the enemy ranks.

Lead the uprising against Azra's regime as a lone hero, or team up with a friend on your couch or online. Combine your elemental powers and synchronize your attacks into incredible chained combos!
The world of Talamh is an intricate tapestry brimming with secrets, stories, and betrayals. From the majestic mines of Grandery to the lush forests of Jaroba, every step of your odyssey will be accompanied by a magnificent soundtrack by composer Gareth Coker (Ori, Halo Infinite, Prince of Persia), with collaborations from Yuka Kitamura (Dark Souls, Elden Ring), Mick Gordon (Doom Eternal, Atomic Heart), and more!

It's fine I suppose, the story is mildly interesting and there's some good personalities in the characters but it just kinda feels stripped down compared to some other beatemups I've played. The most fun I've had in this game is when I took all the optional bosses and finally managed to get a decent variety of moves but like it still wasn't all that much fun until like 2/3 through the run. Worth playing even if it's not quite my vibe.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you plan on playing this game solo, it is fantastic. From the art to the gameplay. Very solid, especially for it's price point. However, if you plan on playing it as a online coop, multiplayer is currently very broken. From not being able to connect at all to pretty much never being able to complete a run because the game will drop someone's connection and there is no rejoin or resume feature for multiplayer. It is for this reason I don't recommend it, solely because I hope these issues get addressed sooner rather than later. Would love to play more, but have no intention of playing it solo. Bought it to play coop with a friend, and haven't been able to do so after 19 hours of gameplay.
After so many great reviews I was expecting more, but this game is actually boring. The roguelike system is not fun totally and requiring to read a lot little text. Also this game really requires these permanent upgrades between runs, otherwise all mobs will be damage spunches. So, it is not fair roguelike. The bitemup is just slow and not clear, comparing with Streets of Rage 4 from same Dotemu. But the appearence is pretty nice and it has different characters with their unique very various attacks. 7.5/10
Dont get me wrong but the game is fun for the first couple hours. I feel like the game is way too short. Progression is also fast. Just get the game when on sale, not worth the full price imo. Edited: For context, after you beat the true boss of the game, you just have to do different modifiers for the run called 'Ordeals' which is basically the same run but with a twist to make it harder. Thats it. The art of the game is amazing. Just that I wish there were more progression like Dead Cells. I wish there was a neutral reaction rather than 'Yes' 'No' on steam review. I don't hate the game at all. Just would not recommend at the full price.
The beat em up genre with rougelite does not mesh well you feel like your playing as a character that got skills removed and is getting them back not a full character that is getting stronger moves also could just be my bad eyes but I think that the hit boxes are wrong
联机连不上,服务器差就算了。打起来的手感更是糟糕,冲刺断不了技能,怪物出招看不清。
The thing this game does best is trick you into thinking there's replayability.
Bought game for coop. Coop doesn't work.
