As much as I loved the game, and I'm writing this just as I finished the game with my girlfriend, I can't just recommend it without addressing some major design decisions that made the game almost unbearable before the ending. I can almost certainly say that the game has some "Dark Souls second half" syndrome. While we had a blast during the first half (considering the hydroplant as a mid-game delimitator), during the second half we found ourselves thinking "omfg, all of this again??" and just hoping for the story to continue. The game is just... too repetitive. It worked, a lot, but I feel the developers dragged it out for too long and it kind of lost the magic, to the point that whenever I found a button, even before pressing it I knew "this button won't work" and we'd have to go on yet another crafting journey just to press the f***ing button. Not even mentioning the unholy health pools enemies have near the end, to the point that I had to turn on KeepInventory and reduce enemy health so my girlfriend could have a nice time. Firearm enemies don't have any sort of anticipation either, they just shoot you the nanosecond they see you, so you take bullets feeling like it was unfair (which is a REAAAAAALLY bad indicator for game designers), and that turned into a huge pain in the ass when you had those "fixed machine gun" moments. Oh, and decay rates for food stacks are shared... not by item, if you place fresh meat on an almost-rotting stack, it will rot along with the rest.... ouch.
Abiotic Factor has probably been one of my favorite survival games in recent years, I'm not the biggest fan of the genre but this game managed to scratch an itch I didn't know that was there. My first playthrough was with two friends and went on for 63 hours and I had so much fun each hour spent. Very clear sense of progression with objectives, gear, base building, and zones you need to access. The grind to get better gear is rather smooth and not tedious at all, plus the sheer variety of weapons and armor is great for different playstyles either solo or with friends. The aesthetics is really appealing and unique, each zone of the facility and portal world was so unique from each other I could easily tell from a glance which area of the game I was in. People describe it as a blend of Half Life 1 and SCP which I have to agree with. Excited to see what the dev's have in store for future updates as this is a gem for survival game enjoyers.

Absolute Gold 10/10
One of the best survival co op games on steam.
gem alert 10/10
This game deserves all the praise it gets that is without a doubt but to for me it was one that was too overwhelming in ways for me to stick with it. People love the mad science themes, along with crafting, survival mechanics and loads of biomes this is a must play. I am shocked at home many places and how much is in this game its insane. You can also customize it to not have to deal with the survival/crafting if youre also tired of that genre. The solo experience was what I mostly played and I think that is part of what took me out of the game. It is so much to manage and do as an individual but with a group of friends oh man this game is incredible. If you have some buds that need a long term group game, this has everything for you
An amazing base builder/survival game for you or your Science Team! looking forward to seeing more.
