Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

Eh it's whatever honestly. A Short Hike was waiting for its time to shine on my wishlist in the #1 spot for a while, looked like a guaranteed hit in the "chill exploration game" niche, but I wouldn't say I enjoyed it that much. The first big discoveries feel good, and the "quest" items are nice to find, but the payoff isn't really there, and honestly, when you combine the anxious FOMO (you don't have a map, so missed collectables/secrets/npc locations are getting googled eventually, no QoL for map-vacuuming after you're done with the main objective) with the boat challenge - the game is overall more stressful than relaxing if you're locking it in with a completionist mindset. Which is not what I expected from a TOEM/Last Campfire/Carto lookalike. It's fine, but for this playtime/enjoyment value - perhaps buying it on sale would be most reasonable.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

It's short. It's a hike. It's good.
I honestly forgot I had this game in my library but was looking for something cute and short. I completed the game within a few hours, but it was more than I expected. Usually mountain climbing games get progressively harder, this one just found a way to keep me entertained running side quests and exploring the small island. At the end, even gave me a heartwarming feeling when you find out why Claire is so adamant about finding cell reception -- overall 10/10 ★★★★★

Perfect 10/10 game! very relaxing and fun
Definitely a Short Hike 10/10
My playtime may be underwhelming but every minute I've spent in this game has been a charm from the fishing tutorial to gliding down from hawk peak. I could tell the effort and dedication the developers have put into this gem of a game.
Delightful
