"A Short Hike" and a whole island to explore while doing so
The definition of a successful indie game. A hiking journey inspired by Animal Crossing packed with somewhat challenging activities, adorable characters, and funny dialogue 10/10.
Short and sweet - my playtime came in at just over an hour. It's a cozy game about climbing to the tallest point of an island using a small variety of glide and jump moves, and a few items that you pick up along the way. You collect feathers to unlock the ability to perform additional jumps mid-glide, but will only need to do this three or four times to complete the game. Everything else is optional, and has the vibe of a really nice summer holiday as you run into other island residents and complete activities for or with them - or move on, if you're in a rush to the top.
