*Ahem* [b] THISGAMEISAWESOMEILOVEITSOMUCHTHISGAMEISSOCOOLBECAUSEICANDOWHATEVERANDTHEARTSTYLEISSOFUNANDICANMODITEASILYANDICANINTERACTWITHOTHERPEOPLEANDTHEDLCSARESOFUNANDITSSOFUNANDITSSOSFUNAND- [/b] *GASPPP* Sorry, let me say that in a pace you would like. This game is awesome, this game has been something i wanted since 2018-2019 due to its soundtrack and gameplay. There has been ALOT of things i missed from this ever since i stopped caring in around 2020 or so, and im all for it! [h3] Story [/h3] One of the reasons this game is great is because of its story. even though i like the gameplay more, the story is cool and heart touching, especially the ending (SPOILER: [spoiler] It was kinda sad to see how hat kid had to leave everyone despite everyones pleads, even SNATCHER was clinging onto the spaceship and he wanted hat kid GONE back in chapter 3, overall the ending was a cool and greatly animated ending cutscene to me, well done GFB [/spoiler]). and the writing and comedy is great too honestly, each character has such a unique thing to them! [h3] Gameplay [/h3] Gameplay, let me tell you how much i've come to LOVE the gameplay since i began to play, there are 17,0- wait thats the wrong script. uhh... AHEM, The gameplay is actually pretty awesome! This game offers so much to do with your skills and so much free will with the gameplay (mostly), Hats lets you be able to have different kind of skills and abilities to be able to get around things easier, access different places, or either find secrets around certain chapters! and Badges also help with the whole "free will" thing, making you be able to shape your own gameplay to your own liking! like if you want to [spoiler] be one shotted by every single thing you interact, you can use the 1-Life Hero badge! [/spoiler] or if you are just a little baby.. i have no idea, just make your own easy loadout, and also the ways to traverse is pretty nice! being able to cancel your dashes to make sure you dont slip off AND be able to climb walls except for bonking is pretty nice, and useful in some situations, even when there is a "no-bonk" badge. Overall, the gameplay is one of the [b] PEAKS [/b] of the game, definitely recommend this game for the gameplay. [h3] Cosmetics [/h3] Cosmetics honestly are actually pretty nice, not major but its something that is needed. like fr if i had to be walking around being a basic purple and yellow hatted kid, i would get a little more bored, because design is actually kinda a thing that is needed for me, otherwise i could NOT tell who is who inside the online dlc's (we will get on that later) if it wasnt for the name tags. and also cosmetics are nice because now i can become a funny little cosmic star born entity name Star (they were born in space, what do you expect, they dont got parents.) so... yeah cosmetics are a very great feature used to express yourselfs in recordings AND online parties... SPEAKING OF WHICH. [h3] DLCs [/h3] the DLCs are honestly whats carrying half of the fandom, due to its more content, and online party. now with DLCs such as Vanessas curse and Nyakuza metro, you can interact with others so playing this game is more fun! and with the Seal the Deal DLC, the more challenging users can finally go through the 114 layers of absolute hell made by yours truly... [spoiler] Snatcher!... oh the spoiler? thats just to not reveal names that appears after chapter 1, this is in the REVIEWS yknow. [/spoiler]. Seal the Deal has such great things to offer in playtime and challenges, making you go through the same things you went through except its more of a hell! like bosses being now EX bosses (by the name, you would now think that itll suck going through that), [spoiler] Train Rush [/spoiler] being now the level that makes you question who made this in the first place, and most importantly... seals, i forgot about the DLC chapter, but yeah there are seals. they are cute. yeah.... [b] NYAKUZA METRO! [/b]... nyakuza metro is great in terms of New content and Cosmetics, along with bring a new longer story then Seal the Deal. l ike fr there is so much cosmetics in this DLC, like more than 30+ stickers (what im guessing), awesome cool looking outfits, BAT, cats, more cats, even more cats, a whole ton of cats, an 55 year old cat with anger issues, and even more cats!... wait who brung in mustache girl as a playable character?... wait. [h3] Mods [/h3] The greatest gift Gears for Breakfast gave to us... COMPATIBLE AND ENCOURAGED MODDING TOOLS!!!!! THATS RIGHT YOU CAN NOW MAKE A LEVEL WHERE SONIC FROM SONIC THE HEDGEHOG ROBS A MCDONALDS TO STEAL THE TIME PIECE FROM THE MAFIA BOSS WHO GOT IT FROM ROBBING A 7-ELEVEN!!!!!!... not the type to make levels? well i guess you can also download and make Badges, Hats, Cosmetics, and Stickers. modded badges can either be absolute fun, or game breaking and can probably make you miss the fun of platforming when you can easily zip to the time piece in a second (cough.. dream mask... cough..) Hats are the same thing, Cosmetics... the cosmetics part of this review except with more words like "awesome", and stickers because why not dude, bring in the snatcher having a epileptic seizure why dont you. overall, mods are a FUNDEMENTAL of half of a hat in times content, allowing for people to make the content they want in the game! [h2] OVERALL [/h2] This game is the peak of the platforming mountain somehow, even when its made in 2017. this game has EVERYTHING that the community needs to be alive, good artstyle, gameplay and writing... mods... DLCs... cosmetics... online partys.. it has it ALL. now the thing i wanna say to you, this game is worth it, EVEN THOUGH ITS 30$... if there is a sale of any, its a steal. if you got the money, this game should definitely be one of your picks, thanks for reading and i hope i see you in A Hat In Time.
