Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.86/day in the week to Sep 11 → 14.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Leave the noise of the world behind and step into the quiet, rhythmic life of a woodsman. A Game About Chopping Trees is a meditative experience designed for players who find peace in simple, satisfying tasks, all wrapped in a calm and relaxing atmosphere with no timers, no pressure, and no stress. At its core, this is a game about the pure satisfaction of chopping trees.
When it's time to move on to a new stretch of woodland, hop aboard your trusty handcar. Pump the levers and glide along the rails through serene, peaceful landscapes. The journey between forests is just as relaxing as the work itself. Simple. Satisfying. Entirely at your own pace.
Enjoy the satisfying crack of timber as towering trees split and fall beneath your steady hand. As you make your way through the forest, invest your earnings to improve your chopping skills with upgrades such as a sharper ax, a stronger swing, and more efficient techniques that make every session feel even more rewarding.
The forest is a living cycle, and you can help it thrive. After clearing an area, take a moment to give back by planting new saplings in the spaces you've created. Watch your efforts take root as tiny sprouts gradually grow into towering trees once again. This gentle cycle of reforestation keeps the woodland lush and vibrant, allowing you to shape and nurture your own ever-changing forest.

Hab es auf dem Legion Go S durchgespielt. Es ist entspannend. Einfach Bäume fällen ohne den Survival Kram. Für unter 10€ auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.
Wish steam had a middle ground option, or star rating. This would be upper end of middle opinion. The first half of the game was great, no glitches, good pacing, I enjoyed the graphics and gameplay loop. Then came the second half of the game and it felt extremely tacked on. More of the same but by that point your upgrades are done so things just became a chore. Plus the map was gigantic but not in a good way, it was tedious to traverse and I found more texture glitches and even fell through the map at one point. Just felt like they maybe should have wrapped it up in the first island. Still overall an enjoyable 3D incremental type game, but that last part is a big of a slog unfortunately.

Very chill vibes, reasonable goals to work towards
I did good, I chopped the trees.. and I chopped more.. and more.. AAANND MORE... ps.. please add a sawmill to the end of the final rail cart up on the hill.. just feels it's missing it.
fun
Good chill weekend completed it in 12h well worth the money. Thanks Devs 🤘
pretty chill and relaxing. haven't played the multiplayer but id expect it to be good too, Game could have had a hand held cart or smt for bringing multiple logs to the train at once, 14 logs at a time by hand still feels like its to little
Fine for what is is, but the tree chopping mechanics are lackluster. Even rust has a more fleshed-out mechanic for chopping trees. Cannot reccomend in it's current state.
I was hoping this would be similar to A Game About Digging a Hole, which I love. But it isn't. I was ready to buy in 100% for the first chapters and even hit something close to a flow state in Chapter 3, (almost missed the boss, which wouldn't have changed anything anyway). Then came the new content, and I can't believe they actually put this out. The new levels are basically unfinished, with huge holes and clipping issues. Everything looks overly saturated, and I can barely even see the new bamboo logs when these dumb shrubs are obstructing my view all the time. Also, can someone explain why there are shortcuts available to purchase with in-game dollars we were getting from selling logs in the earlier levels, but now the bamboo we feed to the cook pot guy doesn't give us any money at all? That's the only reason I was doing any of this in the first place! Trying to fill a 1000 unit bar in not motivating, since I don't even know what it is or why I'm doing any of this. So just be warned, be sure you save up some money before heading to the air balloon. Or just don't since it's a huge disappointment when you get there anyway.
