Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.86/day in the week to Sep 11 → 14.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Leave the noise of the world behind and step into the quiet, rhythmic life of a woodsman. A Game About Chopping Trees is a meditative experience designed for players who find peace in simple, satisfying tasks, all wrapped in a calm and relaxing atmosphere with no timers, no pressure, and no stress. At its core, this is a game about the pure satisfaction of chopping trees.
When it's time to move on to a new stretch of woodland, hop aboard your trusty handcar. Pump the levers and glide along the rails through serene, peaceful landscapes. The journey between forests is just as relaxing as the work itself. Simple. Satisfying. Entirely at your own pace.
Enjoy the satisfying crack of timber as towering trees split and fall beneath your steady hand. As you make your way through the forest, invest your earnings to improve your chopping skills with upgrades such as a sharper ax, a stronger swing, and more efficient techniques that make every session feel even more rewarding.
The forest is a living cycle, and you can help it thrive. After clearing an area, take a moment to give back by planting new saplings in the spaces you've created. Watch your efforts take root as tiny sprouts gradually grow into towering trees once again. This gentle cycle of reforestation keeps the woodland lush and vibrant, allowing you to shape and nurture your own ever-changing forest.

The game is good. Or okay… It feels like non-completed. I like description of "hardcore" mode, I saw it's in beta, but I don't like issues with it. 1. When you split a tree into logs — there is always lag for around 500 ms, until it's the last one. Also there is weird gray square texture at places where you should split. 2. I don't understand how trees fall. In hardcore they damage you, symbolically (not even as in Valheim, for example), but you can stand only around 3 hits. Hitboxes should be improved, some impact (hero reaction) added, etc. Also, the most annoying — trees can fall into water, but hero can't even walk there (I don't want swim, just simple walk), so you can easily loose $20–$200. 3. Stumps are okay, but maybe we should have some instrument to deal with them. 4. I want more music. Maybe with ability to change via boombox, cassetes or disks collectable.
5. You can restore doghouse or beehives, but there is no profit for you. Dog could follow more, bees could make honey, like an alternative semi-passive earnings. The same about cannon: visual, obvious reference, achievement… and that's all? Looks like "pay for achievement", you could bring some money back like treasures from the ship, or unlock some game mechanic or map region. Weird.
6. The map is simple. And invisible walls are everywhere. You can't discover a much, you can't jump on the rocks, or over fence. You just walk and ride, and yes, you can't sprint from the beginning. I will watch for the news and updates, but for now… it looks like "we're a small team, look what we can do, theoretically, but we don't know how to fill this world with mechanics and objects. Also we can do fancy graphics in art style, but we can't optimize it well".
