Mediocre at best, with terrible audio design
this game exists i will never play again
I unfortunately did not like this game, I prefer playing Red Alert 3 or Zero Hour. 9-Bit Armies feels too simple for me, but, some men die of thirst while others drown.

This and every other Pro feature is free until October 20, 2026. A free account is all it takes.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

fantastic RTS. I look for: 1) a skirmish mode against AI and/or internet player, 2) high troop counts, 3) cool build features, ... this game absolutely delivers
Not for me but I can see why osmeone would like it... Much more of a blizzard RTS fan boy than a Red Alert fan... Even Tempest Rising, which was good, didn't manage to retain me... I mean, AOE effects and damage is good, but why should the ennemy have tons of it and your troops basically have no formation to not waste 25 troops supposed to be good against tanks on a single rocket launcher tank...
big difference from the 8-bit series loved it
So I have not played 8-bit Army games before. I love RTS games and specially games that does not have unit limits. This game took me about 38 hours to obtain all stars in Easy difficulty. The campaign is VERY UNFAIRLY designed. I will give DISLIKE to this game bacause how unfair it is towards the player. The only way to get all stars from each maps was to beat all 12 levels first and then roll back and do the maps again. PLAYER AI: Everytime you entered new mission your tech was 1 tech lower than enemies and making you feel very unfair matched. And in the end the "strategy" of whole campaign was just to mass produce 1 type of units and over run enemies. Own army AI was dump like rock. When your unit gets shot, it will not shoot back even if you can see the enemy. Snipers can take out Heavy tanks while player is taking care of base or attacks as Heavy Tank should be defending some point but Sniper out ranges it. Putting units on target to protect will make them go wild or the protectors will follow the target. Some units are able to shoot on move and most cannot which is very annoying design. Specially Heavy tanks from Overlord are super powerful because of that. When i was doing star runs in Overlords Heavy Tanks was the main unit I used. For Sentinels main unit was Heavy Drones that was super powerful in a mass. ENEMY AI: Enemy AI was super overpowered and in some maps it was totally broken. Nerd Rage map was totally broken as I watched ideas from older youtube videos the they barely had any units in the map while my map had 3-5 times amount of enemies making it slow and rush play. Just pile up lots of flying units and fly from target to target and ignore all enemies. I am pretty sure the coding was wrong and made EASY difficulty still MEDIUM. Enemy AI also was able to see whole map all the time making your easy target all the time. Enemy units are consistantly shooting out of range at your units. And also when game SHOULD work as high ground sees lower ground. But the enemy will shoot you from lower ground, because it sees you all the time. And as Enemy sees all your units and base it can use super powers on your base easily. Or on your piled units. This Game feels okay at start but the campaign made me really hate all of it. The AI unfairness was way too much. Game also has many stupid designs as for example, when enemy shoots your from darken area it will not highlight and your units MUST see it to shoot it. Ctrl+attack, will make your untis move to the area and there is no forced attack command. In Escort maps it was painful that Overlords has man moving copters but Escort target cannot use that. While Sentinels man moving cars can hold Escord target. Tbh there is huge list of problems to list it all would take a while. ALIEN FACTION: This was a small enemy to play againts, but it also had many units that some how was able to shoot at player units out of range and out of Darken areas. Meaning that Aliens also sees all player movements. STORY: No idea what it was about, the cutscenes was too long and while trying to defend base and make units there is not time to read texts. Also some cutscenes between missions was so long that ESC skip was the way out. SPECIAL STARS: Something extra to do, no point of doing. Also one campaign map had a special trigger for it which was a pain in the arse. SURVIVAL maps: This is unique and some odd reason has units that you will not encounter in Campaign at all. Also enemies are super powerful in Survival and will shoot at player out of range and out from Darkness. EDIT: I tested Daily Challenge where I had 1 AI bot as team mate and 2 AI bots enemies. Bot that was on my side was a rock in IQ while enemies felt like HARD difficulty bots that dominated map in minutes. My only way of defeating the enemies was to build massive load of helicopters and kamikaze their bases. The silver star for "not letting more than 10 buildings destroy from your or ally base" is 100% impossible to do without multiplayer help. Enemy AI also was super efficient with bases and were making massive armies, my AI bot died under 7minutes and i rushed enemy bases with in 20minutes. Also Enemy AI again was able to see your base all the time and nuked it freely with accurate hits on your piles of units.
I love RTS games and have been a fan cince C&C. I dont know how you convince yourself to make a new RTS game and somehow make it worse than someting made 30 years ago, what i like the mega structures what i dont like no unit verancy lame super grindy level system no suport units this seriously feels half baked.
fun campains and has alien reffrence
