About
Entities known as The Originals have lived for centuries, granted time, granted power, and the freedom to abuse both. That power is now owed.
Noa Brooklyn was born The Collector, raised by the Zaindaris for a purpose she did not choose: taking that power back.
Explore a handcrafted Amsterdam by day. At night, uncover what lies beneath its surface. Every facade carries a gablestone. Not all of them tell the truth.
The Originals walk among Amsterdam’s citizens, hidden behind human faces. Identify them. Mark them. When the Esbat comes, confront them in their true form under the moon. Collect what is owed.
Noa commands witchcraft and spellcasting passed down through generations of Zaindaris. Each target can be approached in multiple ways. Strategy, timing, and choice define the outcome. Every Esbat is a reckoning.
Noa is not alone. Aaron, summoned from 1999, now sees the world through the eyes of a cat. Together, they are one: Switch between Noa and Aaron across two radically different playstyles. One wields witchcraft. The other has four paws and flair.
Panache Digital Games is an independent studio founded by Patrice Désilets, creative director of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Assassin’s Creed.
I'm only recommending it if they make DRASTIC changes..
Played the demo, the concept very much peaked my interest along with many others. The demo itself wasn't much gameplay wise the lore of it is what brought me in. I decided to give EA a chance and here's my first immediate thoughts/notices - The cat animations going up and down stairs is terrible, the cat floats down the stairs where you can clearly see a visible gap between the cat and said steps - the cat animation and control overall just feels very stiff, if the want to follow a great example of cat animations the game "Stray" is where the devs should follow - the floating on the water what sequence just feels odd, naturally you wanna jump or move up to platform from the water but instead you have use the analog sticks to move said platform, it would feel more natural to use the (A) button instead, but they use (A) button to do a floating spin attack to smash crates for small loot, this would feel less sloppy if the did (A) once to get up the platform then double (AA) to do the spin move to smash the crates all in a more seamless matter. - The character Aaron when you're back in the hotel in your boxers for a short time all the hotel guests are copy and paste of the same people over and over again. Also when youre first back in the hotel as Aaron the player's natural thought would be "hey i need put on some clothes before looking for x item for Anges" but NOPE its long after the hotel sequence Aaron says "oh crap the hotel guests are looking at me weird for not wearing clothes" As the player it was mildly annoying how dumb this setup was - THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY "SPOOKY" SOUND EFFECTS to the point its getting old real fast. As the story continues the screen shades to red for split second, screeching, distortion sound effect. for which it seems EVERY 5 SECONDS. it spooky factor no longer exists, now it just annoyance. - when back in Amsterdam all the people are obviously cut and paste of the same man and woman over and over again. with small difference of may different hair colors - there are many side interactions that feel way too static when they occur, you cant see emotions being portrayed when having conversations with people of the world, most the time you just see the back of their head or maybe the side of it. There are few main cutscenes were it done a little better but still feel very static. A cinematographer is DESPARATELY needed for setting up these scene and camera angles to convey the story so much better. When a dialogue heavy story is occurring being able to properly convey that is critical! I'm quickly finding myself losing interest in game due how little was actually polished for EA, This game is missing so much with such a great concept. This was barely passable for EA because it is simply not ready, too static no life to it. In its current EA state this should have been $15 tops

I've been so excited for this game to come out and I've been recommending it to so many people so it hurts me to say, but with no way to change the difficulty and such a vague tutorial I quit after my 10th time trying to beat the 1st boss after I couldn't even get halfway through the fight.
I asked the developers for help with a bug. They told me to ask someone else.
I really liked the idea of the game when I first saw it. Playing as a woman with a cat in Amsterdam, what's not to love? Well, the "cat" quickly turns out to be Aaron, aka a man, from 1999, so he curses and talks normally, which is really annoying when that's not at all what I hoped it would be. The steam page has been updated so that this is clear now, but it wasn't when I first found the game, from what I remember. I don't know how much of the game will take place in 1999, and I don't care much to find out. I don't like Aaron and I don't like the modern setting. All the 1666 with Noa was really good. I like her story and it's a really pretty game. The combat was fun, and I would have liked it. But I just can't get over how much the game was "play as a woman!!!!" and then immediately introducing a man, who does most of the narrating from the little I've played. Why couldn’t the cat just’ve been a cat. Why make him a man, who talks and is just sooooo quirky. And I'm not supporting AI, so I'll refund the game.
Despite the negative reviews i'm going to give a positive review. The game has great potential and i cannot wait to see the updates and bug fixes! Yes.. The game is in Early access so that means bugs and stuff can be found in the game. I cannot name one game that got into Early access where it was 1000% perfect.. I got 3.5 hours in the game now and i'm enjoying it! I really do! Sometimes is searching for the right thing to do, but eventually you slap yourself around the head and say ''How could i have missed that'' €30 worth it for me? Absolutely. Would it be worth for you? I cannot answer that for you, depends if you're willing to help the game grow better by playing and submitting the bugs so the Panache team can actually fix them!
combat and movement is too clunky and convoluted, the enemy boss fights are too difficult i died about 90 times none stop and the combat isnt clear on what to do theres no option to skip or a mode to make it easier which is absurd in this day and age. if i could get a refund for it, i would !!!! would not recommend, the initial prologue was fun with mild combat, if i wanted to play assasins creed on nightmare mode - ID GO PLAY IT !!!!!!!
Shame on all of you.
I love everything BUT the combat in this game, it lets the game down when my witchy immersion is broken to beat a literal demon to death with a stick and a stick alone
