About
Entities known as The Originals have lived for centuries, granted time, granted power, and the freedom to abuse both. That power is now owed.
Noa Brooklyn was born The Collector, raised by the Zaindaris for a purpose she did not choose: taking that power back.
Explore a handcrafted Amsterdam by day. At night, uncover what lies beneath its surface. Every facade carries a gablestone. Not all of them tell the truth.
The Originals walk among Amsterdam’s citizens, hidden behind human faces. Identify them. Mark them. When the Esbat comes, confront them in their true form under the moon. Collect what is owed.
Noa commands witchcraft and spellcasting passed down through generations of Zaindaris. Each target can be approached in multiple ways. Strategy, timing, and choice define the outcome. Every Esbat is a reckoning.
Noa is not alone. Aaron, summoned from 1999, now sees the world through the eyes of a cat. Together, they are one: Switch between Noa and Aaron across two radically different playstyles. One wields witchcraft. The other has four paws and flair.

Has potential, but definitely needs a ton of work especially the combat and movement/traversal and over UI of the game
It's early access right now, so I won't be too harsh, but it does seems like it has promise... it didn't take long for me to run into some glitches in the game for starts one guard ended up in the ground and I couldn't get to him until he slowly levitated out of ground lol....Then I got confused on what to do next when it came to finding this guys house. Again it's early access so I have hopes that this game will get better.

So far I'm enjoying it. I just wanted to come on here and say that this is the best frame gen implementation that I've ever seen. Usually have to have at least "160 to 180 dlss" for the game to feel smooth, but this game somehow feels smooth at "100 dlss".
There's a certain heart/soul and passion in this game that comes alive through the gameplay. Yes, it's early access—so there's bugs, there's lack of polish, there's some optimization issues. But this is a project that hits a particular way in how the dev team is bringing a vision to life. That just happens to be in a beautiful aesthetic with a lot of variety in mechanics and difficulty scaling. I am content for what the game offers at the current price. I look forward to what will come.
The game has a very interesting story, this is one of the biggest reasons keep me playing. like the art style and my Cat.....but the game has a lots of things need to get improved. the game run on high setting and smooth for me mostly, but the game does crushed couple times. 1, the combat system.... well, its... ...really hard to say.. if you fight in a normal way, it is really hard. the dodge system is not every useful, you will have to pre dodge in order to actually avoid damage, and a lot of time, you are blocked by other objects, so can't really dodge. However, until the moment you realized dash attack, the game is very broken. you can just dash attack everyone even the bosses brainlessly ... and they will dead in no time, the battle suddenly becomes to a crazy keyboard piano game .. W + SPACE+ LEFT CLICK repeatedly... 2. no custom key bindings.... Potions on F1, hard to reach for me, not good, also several time, my character die because I accidently switch to the cat.... 3. too much steps for interaction. No matter you want to light a candle, caster a spell, possess others... etc.. it's just too complicated. 4. I like the open game style that allow you to finish a mission using different ways, but the game is sometime very confusing...do you want me to sneak in ? but when you walk into the room, everyone will start staring at you, then the guards will come...so the easiest way for me so far, is just walk in to the place, door dash every guards. and collect everything then get out... After all, I think this is a every interest game
Has potential. Will be amazing when it fully releases!
several CTDs and the save on checkpoinmt situation made it that i lost progress a lot i have to many hours for refund, because all the CTDs and now i have a game thats buggy as f*ck that i'll probably won't play till they fixed all the bugs so i do not recommend buying it now till its out of early acces
Do I recommend this game? yes. But do I also recommend waiting? also yes. I enjoyed the start of this game, the concept and design is really cool. I didn't realise how many hours of gameplay there is though, so I was gutted when it ended, so maybe I would've waited, but I'm sure future me won't be mad about getting it at EA price lol. Its verrrrry buggy atm, I was just getting so much lag as I got into the busy town area, the sound was stuttering, combat was near impossible, Getting the cat to jump surfaces can be very frustrating, and just the little things like I kept ending up in never ending combat because the button to walk together would just disappear while I was trespassing, It needs a lot of work, I'm kind of shocked that they release it THIS early tbh, but it does have alot of potential and I will revisit it when its more fleshed out.
I went in with mixed ideas on the game given the reviews I was reading, expecting it to be super buggy but I must've been lucky so far with game play. I'm thoroughly enjoying the story so far, and simple and I find it funny to be beating up demons with a broom. My only issues really lie with camera movement in combat and with the movement of the cat when trying to get it to jump. I struggled to get my camera to lock onto any enemie while in combat so found myself missing enemies or getting stuck on objects while dodging. It was also just frustrating at points trying to get the cat to be able to jump onto surfaces and find it sometimes can get stuck in spaces so I'd have to reset the kitty and start all over again. All in all, I look forward to continuing to play the game and seeing how the story progresses 😁😁 7/10🌟
Let the seed sprout before you step into the dark. If you aren’t itching to walk through the pestilence right this second, hold off on buying 1666: Amsterdam just yet. The roots of something magnificent are here, but it needs time to grow and flourish. The potential is undeniable—the visual world is grim and captivating, the score builds a haunting tension, and the subtle audio design pulls you straight into its atmosphere. But right now, it still needs time in the shadows to mature, fix its rough edges, and unlock its true form. Throw it on your wishlist, give the developers time to let it cook, and hold off for now. See you until the next Esbat, fellow Zaindaris.
