This game is a masterpiece and its developer is a grandmaster. Please, dear people, ignore that the developer abandoned this game. That is part of the developer’s masterplan. You see, the game is called “10 Years After”, and the game was release on January 30 2015 and we just need to wait until January 30 2025 and the developer will surprise us with a complete game, denser than the Witcher 3. Just wait and ignore people that say that if the developer’s house was on fire and they had two bucket of water, the would drink one bucket and use the other to wash their private parts.
**Update 01/04/21** Simple edit to reassert my disappointment in Valve for continuing to allow this fugazi of a "game" and its worthless ilk to be sold via Steam.
Summary (TL;DR):
Neither the storepage's description or media accurately represent what the buyer is getting. Ten Years After is essentially broken to the point of being unplayable in its current default build, and it's been abandoned so its current state is also likely its final state. Consider yourself warned.
What Rules:
- 10YA Taught me an important lesson: If there's anything positive to be said about my experience with Ten Years After, it's that it taught me to approach early access titles with more caution and less optimism.
What Stinks:
- Everything. Literally, everything: 10YA is the videogame equivalent of having ebola injected into your eyeballs while being repeatedly smashed in the crotch with a Garden Weasel. I'm kidding of course, it's worse. - Ten Years After's short but gross history: For the first few weeks after launching on Steam EA, 10YA's "dev" AlwaysDead was active in the game's discussions and updates were happening. Then out of nowhere he announced he was changing the game from a first-person zombie survival game to a third-person space exploration game. Everyone collectively shouted "BOO". This is the point when things truly started swirling down the crapper. Announcements and updates petered out then stopped. After months of silence, we were informed that the game had been passed off to a "new" developer, Rock Paper Games, who have since that time done nothing with 10YA. At first they were posting hollow "progress" announcements every 4-6 months to keep the game from being flagged as inactive, but at the time of updating this review it's been a long long time since owners of this mess heard anything from Rock Paper Games. There, you're all caught up. Sounds great, doesn't it?
My Thoughts:
Ten Years After is one of the most glaring examples I've seen of a dishonest "dev" abusing Steam's Early Access program. Scummy, scammy cardboard cut-out "developers" like these need to be washed out of the Steam Store like the skidmarks they are.

Can't even launch the game due to missing executable, valve really needs to put some sort of control in place so ♥♥♥♥ like this is removed and the developer banned from the platform.
Very buggy. I wouldn't recommend buying this at all while it's still in Early Access. A quick look at the Discussions for this game and you'll see that it's been abandoned with no developer input for a long time. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!
Too dark, Game don't make any sense. Worthless
Why I have this game lol
Got stuck on scenery within 3 seconds, reloaded Got stuck on scenery within 3 minutes, uninstalled
Buggy abandonware that shouldn't still be listed for sale.
No Bueno. Mouse doesn't work. Am I going to lose my time trying to fix it ?
'10 Years after' released in januari 2015. 4,5 years after this game is still in Alpha and I'm pretty sure that in after 10 years (pun intended) it will still be in alpha. From the screenshots the game still looks like a fun low budget game, which is not the case and Valve really should've deleted this game from Steam ages ago. Like many other games that have been flooding Steam the past few years, 10 Years After seems like it's just a student project, with bought assets, in which they fooled around in and decided to upload it, just for the hell of it. The game consists of a big map with buildings in it , glitches everywhere, the same textures everywhere. It also has some zombies that, somehow, seem to bug out and become extra large for me. There are people who you can talk to and receive some quests and there are driveable cars (probably the best thing in the game). The game will never be finished so unless you want to spend money and laugh at a broken game, don't bother.
