Yu-Gi-Oh will always been a favorite past time and brings back memories of watching the episodes when I was a kid and when I was an adult playing on the DS and challenging peeps to duels. I love that they made it a game with thousands of cards and different strategies. However, it is a little disappointing that the game does not get updates to add additional cards that came after the release. Playing the game and reliving each duel from each arch is a lot of fun and get to learn about the different cards and play styles. One other down side is how much Duel Points are needed to expand your library when at the card shop, but nonetheless still fun and challenging. Makes me want to get back into the physical card game. Anyway, a fantastic buy, you wont regret.

This game could be a lot better - but I'd be hard-pressed to find a better gacha-free YGO experience, and I do very much enjoy getting to play through updated versions of classic duels using both story-themed decks or your own. There are some story decks that are absolutely ridiculous - I had resolved to play Story decks for as long as possible, until I had to make a so-so Dark Magician deck to deal with the nonsense of the Flip Turner duel where you have the most obtuse source of spell removal possible in the Story deck, and the moment I played an actually functional deck I won almost effortlessly. Visual presentation is decent, but the drought of animated monster summons is disappointing, and the quality of the animations is roughly PS2-era. Mods are very easy to install, though, and remedy some of these issues. Fun, pretty much what I wanted from it, it's just too bad that Master Duel has basically made it so Konami probably won't be releasing any more gacha-free YGO games, because there's so much room to improve. For a fun personal challenge, play using the Starter Deck and make sure you only use cards that are fitting to the era you're playing in, using cards from that series' booster packs.

I would definitely recommend this to new players looking for a little story and fun deck building, what's really great there is no micro-transactions and you can get every card as well

Dieses Spiel ist zwar leider nur noch ein Gerippe eines ausgestorbenen Dinosauriers, aber dafür ist es ein wahres Fossil. ich bin begeistert wie Nostalgie dort mit Old-School aufeinander trifft.
