There's a lot of heart in this game. It's not perfect, and I ran in to a few small flaws and inconsistencies, but nothing game-breaking or crucial. On the contrary, I had a blast during my first run-through, a very happy ending, and I can't wait to see what other routes are available. This game is cute, warm, serious in the topics it deals with, although it doesn't get too deep into romance (although, yes there is some romance to be had), the art is lovely, and at the end of the day, I recommend it!
I want to let out some things I don't like first -The love interests are randomly generated, which I believe adds replay-ability but the events remain the same no matter which prince you choose, there is at least One non-randomized love interest I could find but I wish there were more, the fixed characters are really charming so I wish there were more of those -The princesses are too many to really spy into each individual one and figure out what they don't like, each time I replay I just hope to encounter Roxxane who's a goth lesbian princess that proposes a lavender marriage. -I'm sure there is a discussion to be had on how the game sort of frames gay marriage as the final step towards acceptance which is a handful of real life discourse that I don't want to dive in deep on this review but I felt it's worth mentioning But those really didn't make me stop being charmed by the characters and little events, there is a lot more nuance here than I expected, much like similar resource managing games, there is no wrong choice for most events, the game doesn't judge you for choosing to come out or not. It's just a shame most love interests are randomly generated and have the same dialog and stuff for every event. I wish there were more pre-set love interests bcz the characters we do see frequenly such as the Wizard, the Spymaster, Omar and bard you can recruit later are so charming and such good company for the Prince. There are also two festivals that lead to really lovable moments, my fave surely is the Sun and Moon one where due to the queen's absence Prince Amir has to dance on her place, I am in love with the cheesiness of it. I still plan on playing more of it and see what other choices lead, I'm surely not disappointed and would love more of the game.

Such a refreshing and fun experience! Your Royal Gayness combines humor with clever gameplay, making for an unforgettable adventure. The writing is fantastic, and the characters are lovable. Loved every minute!
Cute little game with easy mechanics, adorable story and replay value. I finished one run through but I will go through it again to explore other options.
Can't manually save while it's a management game I was expecting to play this a few days at a time when I had some time to kill. Apparently you can only save once every in-game week? Yeah. No, thank you.
Mamy tu zarządzanie królestwem, rozwój postaci, no i oczywiście dating sim czego nie mogłoby zabraknąć w takim tytule.
This was a really lovely game to play! One playthrough took me just a little over two hours, and accidentally becoming a beloved king with a boyfriend sticking to his guns and doing everything to pass equality laws ASAP was really cute. I can't attest for replayability values as it stands right now since I only got through the game once, but the management part of it wasn't much of a challenge either and seeing my counselors change attitudes towards me was lovely. I did find turning down advances all the time and only being able to save once a week pretty annoying, but nothing heinous that would stop me from playing again. As other reviewers have pointed out, its ideas feel scattered at times (I have no idea what the stats do nor do they really ever explain? Will I ever catch a fish???) and it can be a bit tone-deaf at times (I really do NOT enjoy having to have real life homophobia repeated to my face word by word in a game celebrating being gay, for example.) But overall, I definitely recommend giving it a go if you're looking for something nice and queer today.
3.5 stars. It's missing something. Maybe it's the fact that it's not actually a dating simulator, which is what I was expecting going in. Maybe it's the fact that no matter what ending you choose, they feel rather abrupt and unsatisfying. Maybe it's the ovely moralising idea that queer people should self sacrifice for the greater good, in spite of that being completely counter to the wish fulfilment promised by the premise - as if queer people don't have enough to sacrifice in real life. God, it sounds like I don't like this game. But, really, it was super easy and. It contained almost constant gameplay elements which made for a fast paced game through. I found myself staying up late to see what would happen next! The characters are super fun and nuanced, containing a diverse range of identities, from lizard wizards to nonbinary, bisexual spies, all of which provide parallels an interesting counter perspectives to our central coming out narrative. Overall, worth a play. It makes for a comfy, chill, and cuddly experience. (Gay cuddles!) Just don't go in expecting a masterpiece.

Once again, the woke games list has allowed me to find a wonderful gem of a game! I love managing stats and getting stressed out so I thought I might enjoy this game but, oh, i just LOVE IT SO MUCH! I really didn´t anticipate how much I would enjoy the writing and the characters! It´s also not as stressful as I thought it would be and honestly thats kind of nice? To play a game and just have a really really good time? I highly recommend this game, its wonderful! Anyway, spoilers hehe,
I can´t believe I´m saying this but I´ve never been so happy to get a pamphlet from a cult before! Never have I ever played a game in which allowing a cult to continue existing was treated as even a remotely good choice! It´s just really nice and precious to have religious freedom tied to freedom in general <3 I also liked that a lesbian found me, after I made no effort to be subtle about my sexuality haha, that feels very realistic. And I liked the unicorn racists because, yeah, I can see that lol. Gotta use those dungeons for something!
Just so many cool things to see and do and all of it is interesting aaaa <3 I´m having such a fun time! <3
