This game is absolutely hilarious! If you want a game that's a mix of comedy and frustration, you've found it. Yolked brings the frustration of games like Getting Over It and combines it with the comedy of being what appears to be a sentient egg. LOVE this egg-xtraordinarily fun game! It's so cute, delightful and rewarding. It's super obvious about much love the developers put into this game! The visuals are so beautiful and crisp, and I'm sure that people of all skill levels will have tons of fun with this! Can't recommend it enough! <3

I’ve been waiting for this game to release for a long time!!! It’s such a fascinating game to play yet it is challenging, which is the fun part. In terms of playability, users need to take some moments to learn how to control the egg, but once you got the trick, it is a joyful ride to play. I really like the visual and design idea of the game, an egg with strong arms and trying to escape, how interesting it is! Every time when I cooked morning eggs I think of those little egg monsters. I like the kitchen design, which is so beautiful and terrifying at the same time because there are many unexpected and creative challenges that smash the egg!!! Totally fallen in love with it, and I am looking forward to seeing the new levels!!!

The moment I saw the concept of the game, I knew this was going to be very fun. Having a "casual" kinetic platformer/climber game with egg theme totally works, not just on screenshots and videos. The game is somewhat comparable to stuff like Getting Over It, Jump King or even classic QWOP except here you have checkpoints and your egg character can easily crack/die(get yolked) instead of just falling all the way down to the level and losing all progress. Visuals of the levels are well made and there are a lot of details/humour from devs, you might even call there is a "story" in each background. And artistically, it reminds me of Bit Trip Runner 2 and 3 art style, with how everything is wacky, chaotic, and related to you, everything is big obviously. Music is chill and very fitting to the whole mood of the game. Currently, in the EA version I played, there are 2 levels, both of them are really big (unless you speedrun everything like pro), they feature plenty of different segments with checkpoints. There are also collectables for brave explorers or challengers. Gameplay controls are simple, you have 2 arms, left arm you control with WASD + Space for grab/pull and right arm with mouse+left click. Game doesn't have any level select or checkpoint select yet to my knowledge, so it's kinda a bummer if you want to collect every collectable and you miss them somewhere. Honestly, YOLKED is a type of game that could easily blow up in sales/popularity just due to one big viral streamer/youtuber, who is going to make a funny/struggling let's play/stream showcase.

We were granted a key by the developer for our channel, and I have to say this game is a lot more fun than expected. That being said, it definitely is not for everyone. The controls are definitely hard to get the hang of, the game recommends using a controller, and it can be really frustrating at times. I tried both with controller and mouse/keyboard and struggled equally. That being said, I can't remember the last time I had so much fun being frustrated! I kept saying, "that's it, I'm done," and then kept playing anyway. The game is just FUN. The visuals fit the style of the game perfectly, the music and sound effects are spot on. I was planning to but GTTOD and saw this game, and I... like it? Dont get me wrong I enjoyed every second of playing. I mean gameplay is fun, idea is great, a different perspective with interesting lore. I feel like if they made you fall all the way back to start this could have been Getting Over It. Thankfully theres checkpoints, otherwise this game could never be finished. Its just sometimes arm movement felt so weak and unresponsive, maybe that was devs goal to make players struggle a bit more. Except that it is all good, you should buy and play this game!
