Моэ Шоп продал мне эту игру! В целом платформер как платформер, с парой другой уникальных фишек и вполне неплохими боссами.

Woah, this game is amazing - I don't know why it has so little reviews :O OK, I think I might have and idea... I think it's a little to expensive. I've got mine in promo for about 10$. I could easily pay up to 29$ for it, but as I can see - in my country is much more expensive. But beside the price - the game is really fresh in metroidvania genre, even though characters are almost too talkative, they are pretty fun and I like them. Gameplay is smooth, stealth is rather a only a flavor rather than mechanic, but it's perfect for me - I don't like stealth, and here - it doesn't bother me. Combat is skill based, but no dash or something like that - just jump to avoid, think fast, use environment. I've never felt that boss is unfair or movement to clanky. Soundrack is simply the best - I love it <3

I completed the game so that way I never have to play it again. Even paying 3 USD for this game, I regret buying this game. Boss fights were more annoying and every boss used cheap tactics to do damage. This is the worst upgrade system in a metroidvania game that I have ever played. At one point, the game gets softlocked behind a stupid pong game that the opponent makes bs saves frequently. You take so much damage and healing is a joke in this game. Overall, I will never recommend this garbage attempt of a metroidvania game.

I didn't initially think I'd like this game.. The controls felt a little "off" in the beginning. But then I ended up binging it, and finished it in a couple of days. It turned out to be one of the best games I've played in a while; so much so that I bought a few other WayForward games. I picked it up because it was on sale, but would say it's worth the full price. The graphics, animations, vaporwave/80s aesthetic (that VCR font!), and especially the soundtrack are all fantastic. Played on Steam Deck and it ran great. Thanks for a phenomenal game!

A fun and charming metroidvania. Plenty of humor throughout, very much like the other WayForward titles Shantae or River City Girls. If you enjoyed the writing and humor in those games, you'll enjoy this. Controls are fluid, and the combat is fun. All in all, yes, recommended. AMAZING soundtrack, by the way.

Short version - the game is pretty hit and miss, and even when it hits it's just decent, not great. I'd recommend it if you love metroidvania games, are out of better ones to play, and can pick this up heavily on sale. But those are a lot of major qualifiers. Good points - character design is solid anime cyberpunk stuff, Yars' jacket later on is particularly cool. The art (not animation) is fun in general. The platforming and combat are serviceable, though not inspired. The soundtrack is very good if you like cyberpunk synth-pop. The voice acting is far better than the script, and brings a lot of life to an otherwise pretty terrible script. The cityscape level design is really quite pretty, and the hacking minigame is pretty fun and a great throwback to an underappreciated piece of gaming history. I quite like the powerup system, though I think they could have been bolder with it - give the powerups more transformative effects, but make them harder to fit together in the inventory grid management interface. Bad points - The game is incredibly heavyhanded with guiding the player from point A to point B, obnoxiously so. The writing has the "I'm commenting on what I'm doing and I'm QUIRKY about it" issue that seems to plague games recently - they needed to shave off about half their jokes and keep the good stuff instead of padding it out to get their money's worth of voice lines. The character Refresh is notably obnoxious and slings stereotypical Gen Z slang to a cringy and obnoxious degree, though his voice actor delivers the character's atrocious dialogue with zeal and feeling. The animations for Yar herself bounce between floaty, weightless, and overly smooth to suddenly snapping from one animation cycle to the next with no transitional frames.

i will be short and straight to the point... this game is very mid.

This is another fantastic metroidvania from WayForward. The hacking minigames are a wonderful tribute to the original Yars Revenge, and even some other Atari games as well. I wish it would get a sequel.
