World of Warships

I am confident to say people who really enjoy warships and naval battles can find fun playing Wows even in 2026 and, despite Wargaming doing everything in it's power to make players spend hundreds of dollars in shiny new premium ships, there are certain events where you can get some really powerful ships completely for free, and some in the tech trees are really strong (looking at you Italian battleships) that they can compete with the more and more common premium ships with gimmicks. The grind may get difficult past tier VII, which is when you usually start to see all the premium ship owners, but the boosters that the game offers can ease the pain of acquiring new and higher tier ships, alongside the Asymmetric Battles game mode that you can play, which offers slightly less rewards than playing against randoms but still is viable to grind yourself the ships you really want. Overall, the game may have it's details, like the greedy nature of the company behind it, but if you can manage to find your favorite ship, or play it with friends, I can assure you that you will have fun regardless of what the game throws at you.
