About
World of Warships: Legends—the renowned console naval shooter, now on PC.
In World of Warships: Legends, fast-paced action blends with tactical depth. Victory is earned through strategic play, smart positioning, and coordinated teamwork. As a Captain, you can choose from more than 600 historically inspired warships, including legendary vessels from WWII like Yamato, USS Laffey, USS Texas, and many more.
The pace of battle is yours to control, with four ship types that play very differently. Destroyers rely on speed and stealth, battleships on armor and firepower, and cruisers on versatility, while aircraft carriers influence the fight from above, directing air squadrons to project power anywhere on the map. With hundreds of warships from multiple nations—including the USA, UK, Japan, Germany, Italy, and the USSR—there’s always a ship to match your playstyle.
Lead your fleet with over 150 historical and fictional Commanders. Each one features a unique skill tree, allowing you to create specialized builds that fit your ship and your playstyle. If you want a different look, use Commander guises with unique visuals and voiceovers. Customize your Commanders and find the perfect combination to win.
We release major content updates almost every month to ensure there is always something new to explore. Discover everything from powerful new ships and Commanders to unique game modes, ranging from casual PvE events to intense PvP battles. Take part in special collaborations with iconic franchises such as Star Trek and Azur Lane, bringing themed ships, Commanders, and cosmetic content into the game. Complete mission chains, progress through the battle pass, and experience epic War Tales—there is always fresh content for every Captain to enjoy.
With cross-progression, you can link your console or mobile account to Steam without losing progress. Team up with friends on PC, console, or mobile and dominate the high seas together. Some account linking rules may apply—check the FAQ in the community discussions for details.
Legends is beginner-friendly, but prepare for a journey with true tactical depth. While the basics are easy to learn, the game offers many levels of strategy for those who want to dive deep. If you have questions, our in-game wiki, video tutorials, and community channels provide all the answers you need. Play exactly how you want with full support for keyboard, gamepad, and handheld devices, including Steam Deck.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Xbox publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

I've primarily played this game on console ( with over 1K hours total ) and have recently gotten back into it by playing on my console account via the Xbox App on PC. What I will say, the game itself is fine, mechanics are your usual from a Wargaming game, spot the enemy, point and shoot. Pretty simple game mechanics. People do also need to remember, Wargaming does not care about realism in any of their games, that's why they can get the partnerships, the collaborations with other companies, franchises and such. Wargaming games will always have a struggle for a grind, will always reward players who spend actual money as opposed to the F2P players. The Bureau grind for "Legendary" ships is also quite the grind in itself as most of it is entirely relying on whether you have certain ships unlocked and in your port, as well as having specific captains at specific ranks. It can take months and months just to get a "Legendary" ship if you're an active player. My main gripe with the game is the community, dealing with your own team can be frustrating at times. Limited ability to communicate via quick chat commands and such, plus the general inability of plebians who play the game. You could be spamming the quick chat asking for help and 2 allies next to you 9 times out of 10 won't even help you one bit. Destroyers who go to one flank at the start of the match and just won't do what a destroyer is meant to do, spot and prevent pushes. From experience, it's usually the PlayStation players who are completely braindead and non-team players whilst Xbox players still have a moderate amount of people who'll do the same but have been alot more reliable as teammates. The more and more I play this, the more I remember why I originally stopped playing on console. Now, if you are the type of player who doesn't care about the grind, doesn't care about the questionable monetization practices that come from Wargaming and doesn't care about the playerbase. This game can be fun. If you do actually care about all 3 then don't touch any Wargaming game with a 10ft pole.

Been playing Legends for years on console and the PC version is just as great than on console. I love being able to play on PC now for a variety of reasons. I grew up with KBM so I vastly prefer it over any console controller and when I played on console I would usually listen to music and changing playlists was a pain. Now I can just alt tab and quickly switch. Variable zoom is a nice plus as well I do enjoy having that from WoWs. Overall it's the exact same experience between PC and console with all the same quirky issues like ghost shells.
