Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Aug 18 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Please note: the displayed playtime is inaccurate and significantly underrepresents how much time I’ve actually spent in-game. Beautifully Unfinished… and Barely Breathing Ugh. I hate to do this, but I’ve gotta give World of Horror a thumbs down. I was obsessed when I first picked this up in Early Access. Updates were flying in, the content drops were exciting, and the whole vibe? Creepy, weird, and totally my thing. The Junji Ito art—it had so much going for it. I really thought this was going to become one of my all-time favorite horror games. But since release? Yeah… not so much. There’s been barely any movement. A bug fix in December 2023, another tiny one in April 2024—but no real content, no major updates, and honestly? Not much communication either. It just feels like it’s been quietly put on the shelf. And watching something with so much potential just sit there half-baked? Super frustrating. And on top of that—there are zero accessibility considerations. There’s no accessible font option, and while the white-on-black aesthetic is clearly an intentional artistic choice (and works well), the lack of even basic options is frustrating. Especially on the Steam Deck, where some text is straight-up cut off the screen. It’s fine on PC, but handheld players are left struggling to read half the interface. That kind of bug shouldn’t still be hanging around. There’s still something special buried under the dust, and if you catch it on sale, you might enjoy what’s there. But if you’re hoping for a polished, finished, evolving game… don’t hold your breath. If it ever does get the love it deserves, I’ll totally come back and update this review. But right now? It’s a letdown. And yeah, that hurts to say.

Good game, however the 1.0 "out of early access" is just false. Game is missing stuff and the dev went radio silent. I will change my review after the game gets actually finished.
Alright first steam review, you bastards forced my hand. Let me explain, this game was made by one person, whom shot themselves in the foot by over-promising much within a much too small of a time frame. This is another tragic early access mishap (early access is a garbage system). And I felt the need to do my part in skewing the reviews more towards positive. Did they take too long to make this game? Maybe. Did they screw up by giving the trailer these amazing black/white animations, making people assume they would be in the game? Yes. (They shouldve just made a standard gameplay trailer, the art is amazing enough to stand on its' own) Does it deserve all the hate and review bombing? No, absolutely not. And just to be clear, you think by review bombing and hating on the developer, that will motivate him to come back and update the game? Why would it, clearly the community has expressed an insane amount of hate towards the dev, I imagine the animosity is two sided at this point. I've been keeping my eye on this game for a long time, and the hate started way before 1.0, if you're curious. I just hope it hasn't soured their motivation to make another game. To Summarize quickly, the game has amazing Junji-Ito Inspired art, Mysteries based/influenced by very obscure japanese horror movies (I caught that Mermaid in the Manhole reference), Tons of random events that makes me see new sick art every time I play. It is a turn based JRPG, Horror, Mystery, Rogue-like, which is unique in and of itself. If you're a massive horror buff or Junji Ito fan, I think you should give it a shot when it's on sale. If you're not a huge horror fan, this may not be for you, because you will be missing a ton of references and details. I do consider the RNG events and rogue-like nature a plus, but some may consider it a minus. ALSO ALL THE ART WAS MADE IN MS PAINT!
I really like this game, have been playing it even before it was released. It's a bit hard to understand at first if you don't play alot of turn-based RPG but once you get it, it's pretty fun (and hard). The thing that makes me not recommend is that it's unfiniched, and it hasnt had any updates in a while (a few years). It's not unplayable, but for the price and being abandoned for so long, I dont think it's worth it. If you have the means and love horror text RPG, buy it. If not, dont waste your money.
Yeah no, I adore this game. Genuinely could've been in my top 10 at some point. But....promising an update 2 years ago and then only coming back to announce an absurdly overpriced merch drop ($250 for a sweatshirt is mental, what the ♥♥♥♥ are you inhaling to justify that) is insulting. I get that it's the publisher doing this, but regardless, it's just a sign that it's over for World of Horror. It's nothing but a product now. There's no love behind it. It's unfinished to the point where it's better to just not get started rather than get invested and wonder what could've been. I wish I could recommend it, I really do. But right now, and probably forever, the heart of the game is gone. Rest easy, World of Horror. You didn't deserve this.
It pains me to write this review, because this game showed such promise. The art, the music, all of the different mystery scenarios are so good. It perfectly encapsulates Junji Ito's brand of horror in video game form. However, despite being out of early access, the game still feels very much unfinished, unbalanced, and lacking the overall polish of a complete product. There's also a lot of features that were promised in future updates but were never delivered on, and the developer seems to have gone completely radio silent for 2 years now. I'm not going to hold out hope, but part of me is still holding out hope that the devs will one day return with the promised features from years ago. I'd love to be able to change this review to a more positive one.
游戏内容挺好的,但制作组跑路了,不更新内容也就算了,bug也都没修
While a stunning game to look at, this game hasn't actually been updated in nearly three years and has had so much merchandise and ports of the game pushed in that time that it has completely soured this incomplete and unpolished buggy experience. It's truly a shame that what seemed so promising and unique in terms of Junji Ito inspired arts turned out to be nothing but an abandoned merchandise machine. Edit: Suddenly the game is out of early access???
DISCLAIMER: The game is made by one singular guy with a fulltime job who has a tendency to go radio silent for months or years between updates, there is no way of knowing if the game will receive an update in future so keep that in mind. The publisher is still making and selling new merchandise which is what has gotten a lot of people riled up. There are a handful of promised features that have yet to be delivered and things in the game that are dead ends as of this point, if that's a dealbreaker for you, i understand. Now that that's out of the way, if you're even the slightest bit intrigued by what you see, please do yourself the favour of trying the game, get it on sale if needed. I absolutely love the game and am looking to get into the modding scene for it
