Ripped straight from the Neo Geo days and presented in a PC format where you have to Alt + F4 out of the game (consoles back in the day didn’t have a quit button you idiot), you’ll pick from 1 of the 32 eligible teams in this year’s World Cup. Each team has their strengths and weaknesses based on four categories: Attack, Speed, Control, and Defense. Controls are snappy and the pace is [i]insane[/i]. You’ll use lightning quick decisions to choose whether to slide, lob, or smash the ball into the opposing players. Games are super intense and fast-paced, with local multiplayer to join in on the fun. There’s not much meat on the bones as everything can be seen within about an hour, but the morsels provided are absolutely decadent. A soccer game with no flopping and all fighting.

I cannot play this game. It's not even a skill issue the controls are just that jank. The game automatically switches teammates for you depending on where the ball is which leads to you swapping teammates and running backwards 90% of the time. You can't even practice with it in training mode since the only thing there is a list of moves and invincible targets that slowly move up and down, which make it about as useful as a controls list. If they just did that instead of a training mode I honestly believe we would never know the difference. Hard computers are fine but bad controls don't make a challenge. It just makes it frustrating.

World Fighting Soccer 22 é um jogo muito bom de futebol arcade que mistura futebol com jogos de luta. Ele parece bem simples no início - e ele é, com controles consistindo nos direcionais, um botão para chute, um para a formação do time e outro para usar um boost - mas com tempo e prática você vai entendendo mais sobre como os combos e sistemas do jogo funcionam e logo tudo fica bem mais divertido e interessante. Eu comprei esse jogo para jogar no multiplayer local, que é excelente uma vez que os dois jogadores ficam bons no jogo. O modo de torneio também é bem bom, com uma história mínima mas engraçada e um final que eu definitivamente não esperava. Recomendo bastante World Fighting Soccer 22, ele é um jogo simples mas bem divertido. Ele possui algumas falhas, como times com roupas iguais/similares, ou uma falta de variedade, mas nada que estrague a experiência curta que é jogar ele. Eu adoraria ver uma versão expandida desse jogo no futuro, seja com sistemas mais complexos ou uma variedade maior de arenas e "inimigos".
