Without Within 3 (初衷)

After introductory first part and friend/rival oriented second one comes WW3. The longest, the deepest, the best? Vinty is again travelling in this story, and even more than in the prequel. Speaking of which, it is best to read the previous two titles to better understand elements of this story but is is not mandatory to enjoy it. So as I said, more travelling. We visit Singapore and Malaysia in order to solve the mystery of a calligrapher's ghost. All trips paid for by Excelia who is now recovering from the events of the previous part. Vinty is more of an observer here as most of the story revolves around the famous calligraphy icons - Kiki and Tai. I won't spoil anything, but I can surely say that consider this arc as most engaging. It is the longest part yet still fairly short so it shouldn't take you too long to finish it, especially since it is a kinetic novel, i.e. no choices and single ending. Honestly, this is the best part out of three so far. Most emotional for sure. As for the art, some is reused but most is new. Still lot of cuteness, chibi characters and real life locations. Most CGs used yet and all present events nicely. Some animation present as well. Also, links to videos and more make their come back. Still uncommon VN addition, still experience enriching. I like this style of art. Music is pretty nice as well. Somewhat above average; upholding set standards. Sufficient variety and track length considering the low budget. No complaints here. No bugs encountered. To conclude, a very decent second sequel (the best so far imo) with good and cute art and nice music. Best to read previous parts to get most of the story but it is enjoyable read on its own as well. Can easily recommend: 6.8/10
