Reviews
Bought after playing the demo a while back, and was floored at just how engaging and fun I found it. It gave me a similar addicting feeling I had when first playing Resident Evil 2 Remake where I just couldn't put it down until I was through. I'm also not really a roguelike enjoyer typically, but I felt this game struck a balance that put more control in my hands with the rememberance system, and was generally less punishing. A refreshing game that strikes a perfect and unique balance of horror and action that keeps you on your toes on a first playthrough, but still remains fun and exciting on following playthroughs.

True GOTY for me.
Withering rooms is one of those games where I picked it up thinking I would get maybe 2 hours out of it. As of today, I have completed the full game, all endings, including new game+ Game is compelling and that's an understatement. Story: Amazing, without spoiling to much you are in a constant nightmare. The game rewards you via trial and error. Introducting you to the MANY forms of combat. None feel more OP than the others, but I chose melee because thats what I pick in most games. Combat: Clunky but thats on purpose. Think of dark souls. If you mess up then thats on you. Roll out of panic, get hit. Swing too much, get hit. You gotta play it right. Atmosphere: Again, cant spoil but the nightmare adapts to you. The map can twist and change dramatically based on certain factors. Puzzles: Meh, Im also just dumb as hell and I was able to solve them. Just give it a try if you want a dark souls experience with a story that makes sense. The game is clunky and goofy and leaves you feeling rewarded by the end of it. Cant wait to play withering realms
What an incredible hidden gem. I love almost everything about Withering Rooms. One of the most unique games I've ever had the pleasure to play, from the style itself, the combat, all the items, the story and how you progress through the game. The game never lets go off the gas, until the end. Chapter 4 for me personally could've been a little shorter but that's just nitpicking. Can't wait to get to NG+ in the near future and try to do another ending with a different build. What a game!
This is a great indie game! The soundtrack is great and I like the aesthetics. I think that the roguelike mechanics are kind of a side thing and it's a pretty good side scroller in of itself
cool game
the game is quite unique. It take some time to click. Dont give up the first hours. The combat will become better when you lvl up a bit + getting new weapons and other stuff
