Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 22.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 46.71/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Witchfire is a single-player RPG shooter from the creative minds behind Painkiller and Bulletstorm. Embark on perilous expeditions, vanquishing foes to enhance your powers and arsenal. Scavenge valuable resources and retreat to your sanctuary, or push your luck by confronting Familiars— the powerful guardians of the witch.

Skill and knowledge are essential for success against the Witch of the Black Sea and her witchfire-fueled army. If you die, return to the battlefield for a one-time chance to reclaim what you lost, or attack again with a new plan.

Explore vast, immersive biomes and choose your battleground to confront the witch's forces. Each completed encounter strengthens you and your arsenal through the roguelite system called Arcana. There are countless ways to build your preyer and dominate the witch.

Only the most wicked sinners are transformed into preyers, undead assassins sustained by witchfire flowing through their veins. In the base of operations known as the Hermitory, you can choose from a wide selection of distinctive weapons, spells, and artifacts to build your own preyer.

On each expedition, you can extract your looted items or, if you feel confident, confront the witch’s Familiar to unlock new areas and powerful items and upgrades.

Piece together a story from the past to save the future. Investigate ships crashing on the verge of the witch’s land and locate the artifact that can tip the scales in the ongoing war between the Church and the witches.

During the Early Access period, Witchfire will undergo changes, including new areas, enemies, weapons, and tools of destruction. Help us shape the game to reach its full potential!

Excellent ambient shooter, great gunplay and good difficulty ladder. Check it out!
One of the best FPS games I've ever played, easter eggs at every turn.

DEVS PLEASE READ: Please make sure your team is familiar with Deathloop. I went from this game, after 3 hours, and into Deathloop. I had played Deathloop about 3 hours or so before playing Witchfire. I'm now 25 hours into Deathloop. They're too similar to ignore. The major difference, for me, and the reason i gravitated so heavily towards one over the other, comes down the incentive to return to the cycle. In Witchfire, you're entering realms to pass time, acquire an item, acquire level up points gear points. In Deathloop you're doing it to answer a question. This usually raises another. I think that shifts the incentive structure significantly in Deathloop's favor. I'm not saying you should do anything Deathloop did/does. You're each your own game. However, fans of this game should, and probably will, go play that game, which is on sale now. It's fantastic. As is this game. I do think you should make sure you're maximizing the incentive structure for the player to re-enter the cycle, especially because you're effectively punished for leveling up by necessarily facing harder enemies that require you to level up. It feels like difficulty progression, then, is arbitrary. it's just go kill enemies and get the goop and go back and feel circular. Deathloop is a spiral. I think you should aim to spiral more.
The atmosphere is amazing. It has this mix of Van Helsing, Elden Ring / Dark Souls, and Dark Messiah / Fatekeeper vibes. It's basically an extraction shooter, but built around Dark Souls/Elden Ring-style mechanics. You go on raids (or runs) across several different locations. As far as I know, there's no time limit, but after a while enemies will start actively hunting you. You don't lose your gear when you die, but you do lose Witchfire, which is basically the game's equivalent of Souls or Runes. You use it to level up your character. Every piece of equipment can be upgraded, and upgrading items unlocks new abilities and additional effects for them.
Looking good, needs work. Lots of shader errors for me currently, strangely blacked out areas in puddles and some textures partly blacked out. This shows it's early access nature, but I can't in good conscience not recommend it. If they fail to fix the rendering that will change, but I'm not going to play much until that's fixed.
