Wildlife Park 2

Eu acho bem impressionante esse jogo ter 20 anos e ainda assim oferecer o que esse jogo oferece. Lógico que hoje em dia já é um jogo bem atrasado e limitado, mas esteve muito a frente do seu tempo e ainda pode oferecer bastante diversão. Por conter modos de missão e jogo livre (um modo campanha), acaba dando opções para a preferência do jogador, e ambos os modos tem um número razoável de mapas. A comparação com Zoo Tycoon 2 (vou chamar de ZT2) é natural e totalmente justa, mas o meu sentimento é que são jogos com execuções e objetivos diferentes. Em Wildlife Park 2 (vou chamar de WP2) temos uma complexidade maior e um gerenciamento mais complicado, enquanto ZT2 é mais simples e promete divertir mais por isso. Pessoalmente prefiro modo de grids de ZT2 mas a liberdade de colocar itens pelo WP2 é boa. Uma coisa que me irrita no WP2 é que os DLCs são standalone. O preço cheio não é caro e pega um desconto de 50% normalmente, só é bom ter em mente que o jogo realmente é antigo, mas se curte o estilo pode ter bastante tempo.

For anyone asking themselves if this game is worth the money, Maybe. It's pretty basic, the playable area is small, visually is lacking by todays standards, and there are limited settings you can change BUT, if you have memories from this game, it scratches the same itch it did all the way back then. There is no 21:9 Ultra Wide Screen support. There is no Borderless Windowed mode. The game is locked at 25fps and there is nothing you can do about it. Crashes as much as it did, back in the day. BUT Concepts are easy enough for a 7 y/o to understand. Well thought out features and functions Decent layout and everything is pretty easy to find Nolonger need a Disc Drive You can add your old saves from the original game if you ever owned the CD-ROM copy (placed in User/Documents, not Appdata/Roaming, Program Files x86 or the Steamcommon folder, although all of these exist) I lost my disk copy at some point throughout all the times i've moved in my life, although i'm not sure it would even still work with how much i played it, from 07-11. I was playing this game daily, probably the main game until minecraft came out. great game, likely hundreds of hours. great as an introduction to tycoon games, and cheap enough that it's not a massive loss. probably one of the best tycoon games of this era. Quick message to the Developers. Thank you guys so much for putting this on the Steam Store and not letting this become abandonware. It means a lot to me that i was still legally able to aquire this game again, especially since i had lost my own copy. even if i still had mine, discs aren't a forever medium. Memories are worth more than you could ever imagine, and i'm happy that this is one of the games that have made it.

The water animal mechanics are not the best but taking care of the animals is fairly easy and fun, many species to play around with.

Wildlife Park 2 is a nostalgic game for me. The graphics are suitable for computers that are older to run and that may be viewed as a perk or setback, animals and people are still identifiable. I love zoo sims very much and this one has a lot of funny creative twists. One interesting thing that stands out is the mission lore where you are a person with a family from Sweden and your father is a world class researcher that is controversially studying the viability of bringing back extinct animals which may or may not end with him being detained for a period of time. I, personally, really like the voice actor who reads off the mission descriptions too. If someone really enjoys playing around with zoo sims I think that Wildlife Park 2 is a good choice. Wildlife Park 2 offers a really nice bundle at a good price. You can get many hours of entertainment. Give it a try!
