Wow- I'm not even that far into the game and I already feel like this is a skip. Ridiculous amount of clicking just to get into any combat sequence- which resolve incredibly fast. Even if you like the gunplay you will spend MOST of the game just staring at enemy overworld move turns. They wanted to inject depth into the overworld but in turn they've just created a gigantic chore to carry the core game loop. As for the gunplay? Have you ever played a game with a ton of extremely well-thought out options just to be very disappointed to find out that the AI either bum rushes you or hides far away and they'll track and hit you so quickly that sometimes even just gunning them down with back to back headshots you'll still trade for a shield. It's a game where the complexity is reduced to "Pick the most accurate guns and aim duel them from half the map away unless you want to trade hp- which is brutal in this game" The resource economy is also really stupid for reasons many people below have mentioned. You pretty much only keep level ups between sectors and so the metaprogression is just so slow and awkward. The shootout formula could go hard if they didn't lock you down to one good outlaw and then two that have to get close to do anything (liabilities)- I did not want to even unlock the sniper because it was obvious that game slowly turns into micromanaging multiple bunches of outlaws on a map and the thought of that makes me want to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blow my brains out. 2/10 Amazing art and a great concept completely and utterly choked out by the most oblivious dev choices I have seen in a minute. If you wanted to grab the weirdos who love aim duel maps you just had to make the guns actual guns and not overwatch toys you play with while the real guns clock you at normal ranges.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've always liked this game and have always thought the same thing. Game actually kinda sucks, don't get it. enemies ai are designed to not miss and it gets really really boring having the enemy ai just spawn on you and do damage you can't do anything about. NOT WORTH IT.
It's decent if you completely forget the existence of void bastards. It's basically a board game with battle arenas throughout. Just makes me wish I was playing void bastards instead, but it's not bad.
Eventually repetitive but plenty of interesting gameplay to feel well worth my dollars.
Solid game, faced paced, good fun. Works great on a steam deck.
The game is really creative with its gameplay, especially the ability to choose your path on the map. Each character has their own role and unique abilities, and even the dialogue has connections between the characters. The fact that the monsters are 2D also makes the game run more smoothly for me XD However, there is **ONE HUGE DOWNSIDE**: the late-game progression is **REALLY BORING AND UNDERWHELMING**. Where are the bosses? New monsters (maybe minibosses)? I feel like this is only the beginning of the story, and maybe there will be a Part 2 later??? I really hope so! I love this game!
> be me > get this game in a humble bundle > dont play it > look for something to play on my steamdeck > see wild bastards is great on the deck > nice > download expecting terrible results > sink 90 mins into it > have a lot of fun > leaves good review cause fun > would defo try
incredible game. Tons of replability. Each character has multiple power fantasies that can be blended with other characters to create even more fun varied gameplay. game starts out hard as you learn the systems and enemies but gets more fun the more you master it.
Coming from Void bastards (+/- prequel) this really isn’t my cup of coffe, but after the first two hours i really got interesting gameplay wise, there are rally nice layers of gameplay. Maximum playtime 20 hours i don’t think you would have much to do after the story. Still a rodeo worth experiencing.
