interesting mechanics, a bit slow in the beginning, but picks up
Widget Inc is an automation/production game with a refreshingly minimalist approach. Instead of controlling a character or managing conveyors, bots, or sprawling factory layouts, resources flow directly into your inventory. This keeps the focus on what really matters: unlocking the tech tree, improving production, and optimizing your chains to keep progressing. The game is easy to learn, and its simplicity works in its favor. There’s no wandering around trying to figure out what you’re supposed to be doing, and the straightforward systems make it easy to step away and come back later without having to relearn everything. It’s particularly well suited to short, relaxing play sessions. The main thing holding the game back is its quality of life. Several useful convenience features are locked behind tech-tree progression. Most of these unlock fairly early, but some feel like features that should simply be available from the beginning rather than treated as progression rewards. Finding specific buildings can also become increasingly cumbersome as your production setup grows. There is a search function, but it requires you to already locate a building containing the resource or crafting requirement you’re looking for. Once your base becomes larger and more complex, a more direct building search would be extremely helpful. Manual crafting upgrades are another oddity. They are relatively expensive, but by the time you can afford them, manual crafting has already become much less important. As a result, the upgrades don’t feel particularly worthwhile. One of the game’s best features is its variety of crafting minigames. Rather than having every building play exactly the same way, different production facilities introduce their own interfaces and mechanics. This adds some welcome variety and keeps the automation loop from becoming monotonous. That said, the execution is inconsistent. Some minigames feel considerably less polished than others, particularly the vault-related ones. The “hack the vault door” and labyrinth challenges can be frustrating because of imprecise cursor control. Still, I think the variety they provide is ultimately a major strength of the game. There is also a minor but recurring vault bug: occasionally, after completing a vault minigame, the vault simply fails to open. The game eventually resets the vault, but you may have to repeat the challenge before receiving the reward. It doesn’t happen often, but it is worth mentioning. Overall, Widget Inc knows exactly what kind of game it wants to be. It is simple, focused, accessible, and surprisingly varied despite its minimalist presentation. The production systems give you something to optimize, while the minigames provide enough variety to keep the experience from feeling bare. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a calm automation game that doesn’t require sprawling factory layouts, complicated planning, or hours-long sessions. It’s the kind of game you can play for a little while, make some progress, and come back to whenever you feel like it—which is ultimately one of its biggest strengths.

Good
fun game, please expand prestige tree or make a new prestige layer,I need better city builder, better fortress, better logistic hub(glass and battery lacks very much),better way to bury human remains, new way to reduce entropy(entropy decreasing over time too slow, spark is more effective),more terrains, and more game mechanics!!
Es un cookie clicker pero de fabricas.....ayuda desinstalenme esta cosa, le meti 3 horas sin darme cuenta
I went in thinking I'd hate this game but uh no. I do not. Has everything a number go up factory game needs. Even timers for a speed run situation. I don't know why this game has a prestige system but the game ends before you reset. I want to keep playing and the game says ok, here is more and do it better this time.
👍
Pretty fun game that has good scaling. Small but enjoyable.
"Не украли, а вдохновились" Кликер только на этапах запуска нового тира. И это весело. Дальше это Factory-like со своим видением формулы автоматизации и управления ресурсами. Нет логистики ресурсов, но экспоненциальный рост стоимости фреймов не позволяет просто бездумно расширяться. Бонусы за размещение и синергия, терраформинг - вот путь к звездам. Определенно стоит попробовать!
