You arrive in a small village as a fortune-teller who reads the future in tea leaves. But an apocalyptic vision leads you to question its tranquillity. What if you had a part to play in this? Ready your cups and tea leaves, as the future of this village will be shaped by four unusual visitors.

About
Whispers of the Village is an investigation game where you play as a fortune teller. As you enter a small village, you are overwhelmed by a terrible vision of the village ravaged by flames. Thanks to your divination skills, which tells you the future through tea leaves, you'll find clues in empty cups that will help you understand how the disaster will happen.
Atypical and captivating characters:
Meet four villagers who come to your caravan every day to talk and drink tea. The four days leading to the disaster will lead you to grow closer to them, and discover more of their stories, personalities and secrets...
Play as a tasseomancer :
You will have to find clues in the villagers' tea leaves through a series of shape matches. Each shape has its own meaning, and each combination and positioning of shapes must be interpreted to understand what is happening and will happen in the village.
Take notes:
In your trusty notebook, you can record information obtained from your discussions with your visitors. This could be about their work, their relationships, or the predictions you've made for them.
And solve the investigation:
Use stamps depicting the four villagers, as well as actions and objects. Place these stamps on drawings representing the different places in your vision to create sentences explaining the events to come. Once you've matched the right stamps with the right drawings, and put the drawings back into chronological order, the mystery surrounding the disaster will be solved.
This Game include:
4 characters who will open up to you as you progress.
A captivating story that will take you deeper into the hearts of your visitors.
A calm and cosy atmosphere in your caravan, despite the looming disaster.
24 puzzles to help you solve and understand the mystery.
2 hours of immersive play and reading.

This game was so atmospheric! Everything from design, sound design, music, and the matching part of the game was so fun. It was very easy to learn and I was very engaged with the story. Well done! I could totally see spin offs based on this fortune teller character, and I'd be soooo happy to play it if it ever came out. Great work everyone!
Not a particularly long game, perhaps actually closer to a visual novel. The final puzzle was a bit hard to figure out because the tutorial for it came up when I first visited the page and I couldn't bring it back at the end of the game when I actually needed it. If you enjoyed other story-driven puzzle games like Strange Horticulture or Chants of Sennaar, then this might be up your alley as long as you can tolerate a slightly janky UI.

If you're a lover of Tea, Weird superstitioins and graphic novels, this is the game for you!
Cute little game. I was a bit confused at first at what is my actual goal, but eventually got into it - and wow, I like how tea leaves reading turned out! The final puzzle was kind of hard. I figured most of it, but two sentences were eluding me entirely - and I was afraid of not getting in in time... But this game is kind haha. You won't fail, but you still might struggle. All in all, I'm glad I found this game and gave it a chance. A pretty nice experience c:
Short but great game. Had some issues with the ending but sorted that pretty quickly. Love the idea of sorting shapes in the teacups, sometimes a bit tricky to solve.
Nice atmosphere, beautiful 2D graphics, hypnotic music (especially while reading the ea !), cool dialogues. Pleasant student game with interesting game play. No stress, easy to play and enjoy. Thanks for the gift. Keep going.
Very good game, especially for free. Mechanic is cool, the characters and story are compelling. Some jank with the text and UI at times, but nothing game breaking.
Not sure I understood the gold leaf mechanic, but the artwork is beautiful and the characters are interesting. Some mouseclicks didn't register quite right on the topics. Great game for a student project
