Where Winds Meet has always been good at making detours feel worth it. The homestead turns that inward, so instead of finding one more cave, I am finding one more awkward corner of my own place to fix. That is a clever change of scale. The same curiosity that sends me toward a strange sound on the road now sends me toward a badly placed fence. That is a clever change of scale. It makes the homestead feel like a smaller version of the open world rather than a pause screen with furniture attached. The nice part is that this does not make exploration smaller. It just gives the same habit of noticing things a different place to operate, and that keeps the property from feeling like dead space.

I want to start out by saying... this game is free. The storyline is engaging, the graphics are more than I would expect, the content seems never ending, and the gameplay is exceptional. I do plan on expanding this review after moving further along in the game. However... if i have to "Open the Scroll," ONE MORE TIME...
