Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 26 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I wish the controls were less jank and more guaranteed. Everytime I swing it feels like it might hit
I've always been a really big fan of Gladiator games since I had an obsession with Colosseum: Road to Freedom on the PS2. It was janky as hell, the control scheme was rough for a kid to learn and some of the systems were very unforgiving. But whenever you did learn the controls and get to do some fun builds, got good armor and weapons ... it was a super fun fighting game that could be very challenging and downright unfair at other times. So you can imagine that whenever I discovered this game, not long after they added the 3rd person camera, which is my preferred way to play, I was elated. My childhood obsession renewed with a new game that was still in development. I typically like to wait for games to be either close to release out of Early Access or out completely, but I saw this on YouTube and immediately purchased it. My first initial impressions were almost the same as Colosseum to be honest, as I learnt the systems, how to best strike opponents with certain weapons, targetting armor to wear it down to more easily kill opponents, etc, I had a ball. I struggled very hard to complete my first run for some time, just trying to learn the game and get better at the combat, which does feel incredibly rewarding in just about every facet somehow? Whenever I did have that run, it was relieving in a way few games are after the road there. I find just as much as fun whenever I'm a struggling slave fighter who's got no gear and is having to desperately pick things up off the ground to claw his way to victory at the start or when I'm a famous gladiator who's close to retirement and takes an easier match to rest for the week, cleaving his way through easily. Overall, I am extremely excited to see what 1.0 will bring and I am desperately trying to keep myself from playing out every bit of content before then, but every update since I purchased it has brought me back to play it for a whole day or two before I force myself to stop.

How does the combat get harder and worse? Loved the rest of the updates, but rag doll hits and thrashing is what this game has devolved into? Miss the old combat system :(
The swinging mechanic is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and inconsistent with when it will register connecting. The overall game design is well done, but we don't need a bennet foddy esque combat feature in a gladiator game. It's simply a bad mechanic with an unnecessary extra layer of difficulty that only appeals to the dudes who think slamming your ♥♥♥♥ in a drawer makes you a badass.
This game had sooooooo much potential, but everytime i come back to play it seems it gets worse and worse and worse. Today I could'nt even pass the tutorial with my gamepad it was that frustrating!!!! Not because the controls are hard, they are a buggy mess!! Why Jordy! Why! You had such a good game for a while and then.... People, don't waste your money. there are better gladiators style games out there!
This game needs a lot more polish at this point. I bought the game late 2022 and I'm not sure if I have agreed with any of the decisions the developers have made since then. I loved the game when I first got it. My friend got me into it and we would sit in discord playing our individual runs together until unreasonable hours of the night. The combat was a little janky but once you got comfortable with it, it was serviceable. Since then, there have been a lot of changes than don't seem to align with how the game used to be. At the point when I bought it, I thought the physics could use a little polishing as well as maybe some weapon and armor balancing to make the heavier, more powerful weapons and armor worth buying. However, that seems to be a nonissue with the developers as they have reworked the UI, camera, and backstories so it feels significantly worse than it did when it entered early access. To be honest, I'm not sure what this game needs. I think the direction it is going at the moment is disagreeable. It has become less and less skill based overtime and more luck based with things such as traps and traits. I imagine not many people want to play as an amputee gladiator with a maximum health debuff. I miss the old days of being a 50 health moron with 2 body guards where I felt that I could muscle my way through by being good at combat and decision making. I can't recommend the game as it is now. It is multiple steps back from its initial early release. If they can find a direction and run with it, maybe it will improve. Right now, it is scattered and difficult in a way that is not enjoyable.
Woah actually the best gladiator rouglike out there, and one of my favorite rouges in general! He has been working on this game so much and just will not stop, its like no mans sky we just keep getting free updates and patches. Jordy and his team are true legends. If you are even THINKING about the possibility of getting this game just do it you will thank yourself later
I didn't like the game at first even refunded the game, but the game intrigued me and was updated and decided to buy it again. Very fun and hope they add multiplayer it would be very interesting.
first thing is the game has some talking about the god in the dialogs and its not good talking about him and i didnt like it at all talking about god in that way , cant anyone make game without disrespect god name , like it should not be that hard to not talk about him or talk about him in good also i have played the demo and i really loved it but when i buy the full game it was nothing like the demo. even the demo was better because i saw a lot of problems with the physics in the full game but the demo was so much better with that for example when you try to hit an enemy it may hit some times or it may phase throw it also the enemy health is so much less than the demo or that what i feel and you may hit the enemy multe times and crash it with one hit and that never happened to me in demo so i dont know what they did to the game but its just worst so the game in this current state is not recommended to buy at this price
SImply a fun game, with a great gameplay loop and a devoted developer. That's it. If it would have came out back in the old days of Big Boxes in stores, this would have been a total classic !
