Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.14/day in the week to Aug 10 → 11.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Way of the Hunter is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs. This mobile app is an endangered species murder simulator designed for the Samsung Galaxy, and infested with spyware (you can disable it, but there's no telling if that actually works, and it's switched on by default so as soon as you launch the game, they've tracked who you are, where you are, what your IP address is, your PC specs and god knows what else). At face value this is an FPS with all the fantasy, aliens, PvP, challenge, etc, removed, and a "realistic" animal killing simulator slapped on, instead. "Realistic" gets to be in quotes because the AI for the animals you murder is laughably broken, they can see you through the ground. This is garbage. From a technical perspective, as a mobile app, this doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time and money, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. Because this is a mobile app, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the iPhones that the game was designed for. These are unfortunate handicaps and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was an afterthought for the iPhone developers who are to blame for this. The game is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for mobile phones forces upon a game. Once more, mobile devs have made gaming worse for everyone. I didn't spend thousands on building a gaming rig just so I could pretend it's an iPhone. Those technical issues put this mobile app beneath what is expected from a contemporary, professionally developed PC game. Warning: This mobile app behaves as spyware and collects "telemetry" and personally identifying information. While there is an option to disable this, there's no guarantee that will work. Worse, the developers turned this on by default to try to spy on as many gamers as possible. The developers will make the unverifiable claim that this data isn't personally identifying, of course that's BS as they're collecting IPs and all kinds of other information about gamers, when combined with other profiling data this can 100% identify an individual. They say it's for "QA" purposes but there's no guarantee they're not profiling you or selling your data to third parties as they spy on you. Should you trust them? Of course not... if they had any concerns about user safety and privacy, they wouldn't have built spyware into their mobile app and turned it on by default!. There's simply no reason to trust them and gamers should avoid this mobile app because of this unacceptable privacy invasion. Think of this as someone coming into your home, installing a camera in your living room, and refusing to tell you who will be watching it, if they will record the footage and where they will post it. You have no control over your data once they take it from you. Do you trust them? Let's talk about price and the value this represents for us gamers. Should you buy this mobile app? Is it among the best the Steam catalogue has to offer? Once more we see greedy mobile devs trying to scam PC gamers. On Steam, this is $30 USD, on app stores, it's $10 USD. That is more than THREE TIMES the price you can buy it for on the app stores. Mobile devs must learn PC gamers are not here to be gouged, and can't be expected to pay a premium for a mobile app just because it's been lazily dumped on Steam at an inflated price. Worse than that, there's another ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY SIX DOLLARS of almost empty DLC you have to buy to unlock the whole game... bringing this $10 mobile app up to an eye watering $156 USD for the full game... more than a pre-order for the full version of GTA6. This pricing can only be described as cancer, and the developers should be ashamed of themselves for this toxicity. Just who do they think we are?

Hope it will become more realistic. Like if you shoot animal in the legs, they will move slowly. In that game, if you shoot in the leg or any vital organs, the animal move faster than normal. Hard to see the blood trail due to over lapping trails. Please hear me out, I love the game.
To those Monty Python fans, there is a reference to the killer rabbit at one of the campsites!
have you ever seen the AM gif on instagram but instead of "hate" it's replaced by "peak"? because that pretty much sums up this entire game. i bought this (the main game and most of the dlcs) pretty recently during the 90% off sale a month or two ago and i have not regretted it at all. as the time of writing, i've got 85 hrs on it. note: i haven't played any other hunting game other than like an hour on "thehunter: classic" so it's pretty hard for me to compare them.
how do you actually play it?:
the first time i played it, i was pretty confused. if you don't have general knowledge in hunting then you might get lost on what to do. the tutorial teaches you important things but i feel like most players would just ignore this advice. i remember when i shot that poor deer 6 times on the quest where you have to kill your first 2 star buck. it really pissed me off but then again, i probably should've aimed for the vitals. the game does have a "encyclopedia" thingamabob where it basically teaches you the mechanics of the game (shooting vitals, callers, water zones, etc). when you actually learn how to play the game, it gets fun. culling herds by killing low fitness animals, playing without UI/HUD and on the highest difficulty, and etc. really immerses you into the game.
pros:
pretty graphics (not realistic-looking, but still good) tons of licenses (guns, scopes, binoculars, etc.) realistic-ish bullet physics animal behaviour (example: need zones and animations) really immersive multiplayer (you can turn your friends into roadkill)
cons:
way of the hunter 2 is already out animals get alerted wayy too easily mid optimization (idk how to attach pc specs to review, just scroll down to see it) multiplayer (problems: herds reset every time you open a new multiplayer session)
specs:
50-60 fps very high (preset) graphics on Nez Perce Valley (first map) 16 GB Ram AMD Ryzen 5 5600 6-Core RTX 4060 it's not exactly a NASA computer, but i was expecting more considering the 4060 is literally younger than the game, but idk. TLDR: good game but the sequel is coming out soon, watch out for that since it's only around 25 dollaroons
Looks and runs like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
