In the near future, humanity faces an aggressive biomechanical civilization determined to consume all forms of life. Frontier planets turn into battlegrounds where war cyborgs, heavy machinery, and bio-engineered beasts clash for every meter of territory.
Players take the role of commanders who can both lead armies from above and personally enter the fight by controlling hero-units in real time. Your mission is to hold the invasion, build your defenses, and turn the tide of the conflict across large-scale ground and space operations.
Worlds fall. Armies evolve. The future is decided in WARSHIFT 2.
WARSHIFT 2 is a sequel to the original WARSHIFT game, that is developed entirely by a solo developer - Cyril Megem, who is both game designer, artist and programmer in this project. He worked hard for many years to implement a lot of his and the game community's ideas.

Its a good rts in its core, but its still lacking in a few things. The Story mode: is really just an extended Tutorial Where you have to make things step for step how the missions tell you, sadly not much space for creativity and thinking for yourself, it holds your hand wayy to much. I would love if the story gets a little rework of beeing less a list you have to work through step for step but more of a big main Objective and maybe some side objectives and its more up to you how you play it. The Gameplay: in general is really fun. I like the Idea of managing your commander in third person, beeing able to Upgrade and Customize it in a rpg like system and having to manage your units in a classic rts way. It just needs a bit of polishing and QOL changes. For example when you have multiple of the same buildings for units you still have to give every single one the commands for units one after the other instead of having just the ability to click for example on 3 of them and give them all the command at the same time. You have a lot of ways to build a unique army and the fact that every faction has multiple commanders to choose from is great but the units sometimes dont really feel unique like for example in SC2 where even starter units can be important for late game armys. In this game every new unit you unlock feels like the previous of the same type but just better versions. Also sometimes it feels more like an Auto Battler then a real RTS. I would love to make all of these units just a little bit more unique to each other so every unit can have value in an army. I also wish Multiplayer would exist The controls: are really something you have to get used too and i personally had to remap a lot of the keybinds. It sometimes feels a bit clunky and managing armys and your base its something that is kind of weird to get used to. In Conclusion: Its a really good product for a solo developer and it has really interesting Ideas and Mechanics and I believe it has a lot of potential to be an amazing RTS but you have to be aware that it feels a bit clunky and unpolished sometimes. After all i would still recommend the game because i see a lot of potential in it and the "bad" things dont take away too much from the fun i personally have but I also understand thats its maybe not a game for everyone or for every RTS player right now.

OMG what a game - Im starvining for new RTS to play on my new shiny OLED SteamDeck! To get it playable on SteamDeck at solid 50-60 fps - just go to Settings/Graphics, choose Basic and turn anything to low and OFF motion blur and posr process. On small screen its not really huge visual difference. I could cap SteamDeck to the 30 but i have external battery - love 60 fps! Im not really playing campaign (which is ok) but im The Skirmish guy, thats what I play all time with different conditions. PS I was sold with aircarriers trailer - they remind me of Drednaught ive played years back (which im totally missing). PSS Hope you'll get Verified on SteamDeck but its great already!
Wer einmal völlig verblödete NPC KI erleben will, der braucht dieses Spiel. Die Einheitensteuerung ist so hirnrissig, dass einem die Galle hochkommt. Das hat C und C 1 besser gemacht.
It Meh.
A great mix of strategy and mech shooter. There’s a wide variety of vehicles and weapons, as well as plenty of customization options. I really enjoyed it.
I like the look and feel of the game. classic and nostalgic strategy game, Must try for all strategies fans.
love the 1st one! and the 2nd is even more amazing! wish we had a real campaign!
I love this game so much; if I had to summarize it in two words: REALLY COOL!!! There's so much COOLLL SH*T you can do that is so much fun!! I love the concept, and only wish it had a bigger studio with a bigger player base to see it grow and evolve faster <3
Carriers and mechs, oh my! It has some jank, but I like the hero units first person control. I'd like to see this one ironed out.
