About
Warhounds is a turn-based tactical & strategy game, inspired by XCOM and Jagged Alliance, about a mercenary squad with an old-school action movie vibe. Command an elite team of bold, stylish operators, wage a campaign in an alternate-future Africa, and decide the war’s outcome mission by mission.
Calculate lines of fire and flank angle, break cover, and seize the high ground. Every turn is decided more by your planning and tactics, less - by RNG.
Combine classes: Assault, Specialist, Sniper, Machine Gunner, and Grenadier. Pick the right gear for the job, treat and extract, and protect key operatives. Take calculated risks. High combat lethality makes every decision count.
Recruit, upgrade, purchase equipment, and handle logistics, finances, medical supplies, and downtime. Choose allied factions, build relationships, gather intel, and execute covert ops. Your choices have consequences: your decisions determine your access to missions, gear, and allies.
Deploy drones, combat scanners, smoke, and optical camo. Upgrade and improve your kit to win under any conditions.
Knock out a mission in 25-40 minutes, or settle in for a long session. Customize the challenge: go for a brutal tactical hell or a light, relaxing run.
No point-blank misses - flank + close distance = 100% hit chance.
Real ballistics, destructible cover, vertical gameplay, and cone overwatch.
Mercenaries with character and mission-focused loadouts without any busywork.
Base management, contracts, budgets, allies, and consequences for your actions.
Assemble your squad. Take the contract. Decide Africa’s future beyond 2035.

Not bad game.
Great XCOM-like game with different factions to play against. It’s very entertaining and set in a realistic world. However, I would have loved to see more research and technology upgrades. The game’s story isn’t very long, though. I also miss having a PvP system and an integrated Steam Workshop. Overall, a really enjoyable game with a lot of potential. Hopefully, we’ll see more content and features in the future!

First, let's start with something simple, I love this game, I really do, it has literally a lot of environmental quality, but I would like to ask one questions and give a guess: Where can you play the campaign Later or customize the characters first before playing? most likely in Update 1.04, Then I will simply wait for a while. I also like a lot of customization, and a lot of players would appreciate it too, or just hidden behind the campaign. Now let's take a look, obviously this is has an XCOM vibe, and I'm sure there is a lot of procedural generation, but this game isn't THAT bad. First mission, you take out a squad of terrorists who are about to kill the President of Future Africa; Easy, you fight your way to the chopper and leave with the leader intact. Second mission, Hard? Now I'm brainstorming how many ambushes exactly does this ship have, and how to hijack the ship under a little pressure. I DID get past the sniper ambush, and suddenly guys with shotguns overrun my position... Lovely. This is everything I wanted in a Tactical RPG, great environment, textures, character diversity, alternate historical setting, (Ahem) A Drone with your Mercenaries, and I don't know how much more. Until Jade here finds a way to jab right through the lines of a double sided shotgun assault, it's best to say I'm looking forward to the update. (Update) Okay, apparently I have to go through the Campaign, and the grenades come in very handy, simply put, I made it through the Ship. As a cautionary side effect: Do learn the game mechanics, use equipment from contracts, and as far as I learned, always keep a grenade ready for that last hefty fight! Otherwise I am in love with this already... after that, you can definitely start with the creation. I learned from it, and so on; Moral of the Story: The best rewards come from doing our part as I would say.
Haven’t played too much yet, I like it though. X-Com Enemy Unknown gameplay loop.
Плохая игра. Непонятно. Не разобрался. Своих денег не стоит.
It is good game. It has a corky humor, and helps you with your Xcom itch. The first missions could be a little to challenging because of your operators but it ages really good. At first was a little buggy; but no computer crashing bugs, its much better now.
Prologue/tutorial section that cannot be skipped after each replay? Gimme a break! What is this? Frigging 2001?
