Made in a close partnership with Games Workshop, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is a story-rich classical RPG from Owlcat Games, developers of the critically acclaimed game, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 27.57/day in the week to Aug 14 → 31.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Begin your adventure aboard your personal, giant voidship, traveling between the multitude of systems within the Koronus Expanse, a barely charted and incredibly perilous region of space. Despite being considered a backwater of the Imperium, this region encompasses an enormous stretch of the void, filled with dangerous creatures and prodigious opportunities for profit and exploration.

Rogue Traders never travel alone. Gather your retinue of righteous heroes, twisted psykers, and perfidious xenos. All of them are ready to follow you into the darkness between the stars. They will offer you counsel, aid you in battle, and allow you to amass ever more power. In return, you can guide them through their own personal journeys, changing their destinies forever.

During quests show your subjects mercy or disdain, stay faithful to the God-Emperor, or consort with enemies of Mankind - your every decision and every act, even in character creation, is changing the in-game open world and those who inhabit it.

Slaughter the enemies of Mankind in a fully-fledged isometric turn-based tactical combat. Take advantage of cover, the environment, and careful positioning to overpower your enemies. When that is not enough - use your companion`s powerful abilities to turn the tide of battle and achieve victory even in the direst of situations. Our video game adaption of the classic Rogue Trader ruleset allows an enormous number of possibilities for you to explore.

♥♥♥♥ you Owlcat and your stupid-ass game design with choices in the beginning potentially FOREVER locking you away from content. For ♥♥♥♥ sake, in BG3 if you THROW AWAY THE ARTIFACT for some stupid reason you at least get the chance to retreive it. Here "Oooh you didn't know colonies were a thing, went exploring instead of straight to one of the major planets, now you get screwed cuz you didnt know that smol even was a potential colony. Screwed 30 hours of game in btw." Thank the Emperor for modders.

Hot take first- Rogue Trader is better than BG3, it just lacks the overall production value. Without spoilers- Rogue Trader is one of the most, if not the most reactive RPG I've ever played. Your choices through out the story and events that unfold are very important to the narrative. Every dialog choice is tracked behind the scenes, causing an insane amount of variety and small variations. Just be ready to read a lot. Sadly not everything is voice acted in-game. Exploration consists of exploring an overworld map, going from system to system scanning planets for resources and chasing rumors. You'll come across a lot of roleplay events and smaller PoI's to explore while doing this, but the bulk of the game is story driven through the main, side and companion quests. The companions are all very interesting- all of them have a personal story, react to what's going on around them, tons of depth in general with a great selection of both unique and different classes. Mechanically it's a very satisfying CRPG to play with tons of build variety. You get to pick an Origin and Archetype at character creation. Origins offering unique perks that lean into different kinds of playstyles and roleplay options, while Archetypes act as your standard classes of other CRPGs. Each Archetype offers a different variety of secondary Archetypes to pick from at level 17 creating a huge variety of combinations when you take into account Origin/Tier 1/Tier 2 choices (An example from my Dogmatic for The Empire playthrough. I did a Psyker/Soldier/Arch-Militant gunslinging wizard basically). Itemisation is peak- there are items supporting so many different kinds of playstyles. The newly introduced Augmentation system adds even more depth to this. In true owlcat fashion you have a couple of mini-games- in Rogue Trader those are ship combat and colony management. Colony management is pretty straight forward. As you adventure the Expanse you find resources- use those resources to upgrade colonies for various stat bonus/items/refreshing consumables. There will be tons of little events that come up requiring you to make choices for both roleplay and mechaniacl strength. Ship comabt is probably a love it or hate it mechanic. It's basically it's own turn based combat system. Your ship is basically it's own party member, you level it up, equip it with stuff, get talents etc. Overall, if you like CRPG's with tons of depth, world building, lore, stasfying buildcrafting and you don't mind the lower production value (not as many flashy cutscenes and a lot of reading)- Rogue Trader is an absolute gem. One of the best showing of what Owlcat does, and probably the best 40k game ever made.
Got game on launch and a lot has been improved since then. i do enjoy the game and story, visuals are great starting my second playthrough with DLCs now. if you like warhammer this is a great game with a lot of lore and reading. only critism's would be i still dont understand the levelling system theres a LOT with a lot of info behind i mostly just followed recommened and left it at that, combat wise i had it on easy cos its a long game and spending time adding up all debuffs for all encounters is not my jam i just wanted to shoot bolts and move on. second would be a me thing but i felt that the background music was lacking? or too quiet? most of the time all i heard was my mouse/keyboard clicking, could just be a me thing. only other thing to point out which i havent tested since launch was co-op, was terrible on launch, when i was on the ship my parter was just staring at a blank screen untill we left the ship, was a bad implement. may have been fixed.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is an isometric turn-based RPG. The story boils down to: "Here is a formal warrant of trade—now go dispense justice." In more detail, you command a massive voidship and travel across the expanse as one of the ultimate authorities of the sector, making critical choices that directly reshape the fate of the entire region. The Short Answer: Is It Worth Buying? Even as someone who isn't a hardcore Warhammer fan, I found it interesting to play through and read into the lore. If you are a fan of the W40K universe or turn-based strategies, it’s worth picking up. Otherwise, as a blind test, it is highly niche. Playtime 7/10 It took me about 90 hours to complete the base game along with all the DLCs and extra content. Without the DLCs, I estimate it can be cleared in about 60 hours. Story 6/10 You travel the void as a high-ranking Rogue Trader, balancing the political weight of your choices against the grim darkness of the sector. Music 6/10 Fitting for this type of game—or rather, it fits the grimdark atmosphere of the setting perfectly. Graphics 5/10 Classic isometric presentation. Mechanics 6/10 The ground combat feels incredibly lazy, heavily lacking meaningful skill variety. Space combat, on the other hand, is very cool, but there's a frustratingly small amount of it, and voidship progression feels half-baked. It’s a massive shame that space battles and ship upgrades are treated as such minor, secondary features. Side activities on planets—excluding companion quests, which are actually done brilliantly—are just sad and disappointing. The text-adventure segments are decent, though they don't quite reach the legendary tier of Space Rangers 2. The game throws a mountainous volume of text at you. While Acts 1–3 at least provide helpful tooltips and cross-references for lore terms, the devs seemingly gave up on this feature in dialogue choices by Acts 4–5. Your decisions do matter, but their weight isn't felt everywhere, and a large chunk of your choices only manifest as text slides during the epilogue. A massive double-edged sword is that it's rarely clear what immediate consequences a choice will bring. Furthermore, a huge part of the exploration relies heavily on RNG skill checks—fail a passive check, and you're instantly thrown into an unskippable fight. Additionally, the level design frequently forces you to awkwardly spin the camera around just to navigate. Personal Take As a tactical RPG, it's decent, but I personally found Wasteland 2 to be a more enjoyable experience overall, even though Rogue Trader starts out with a much stronger hook. Navigating the Warp is incredibly stingy with safety points; unless you hoard them, you are forced to fight off annoying ambush encounters almost every single jump. The arsenal looks huge on paper, but unique mechanics are only tied to a handful of weapons. The highlight of the game is definitely the party members—they are incredibly pleasant, well-written, and possess distinct personalities. The banter and dialogue between them is an absolute joy to listen to. However, the level-up system is a letdown; while there are tons of skills available, the vast majority of them are boring "+5% to +10% to a specific stat" passive modifiers. Summing it all up, it feels like a highly passable, one-time-clear kind of game. Overall Score: 73/100
This has quickly become one of my absolute favourite games of all time! Did you like Baldurs Gate 3? Dragon Age: Origins? Mass Effect, even? Jump on this! No previous Warhammer knowledge required (you will learn in game and it's fantastic). It is incredibly well written and the combat is just plain fun. I wont go into details as there are plenty of reviewers who would do a more detailed job. I can't wait for Dark Heresy and The Expanse: Osiris Reborn (is that gonna be like Mass Effect in 2027 with these writers? Sign me up!), and I will be jumping into Pathfinder WOTR soon (already bought). Consider me an Owlcat fanboy. Also - lets support game devs like this. They seem really cool and from what I can see they listen. A full single player experience, totally worth full price in it's base form, and then releasing legit DLC expansions. It's what real gamers want. Not a brand new game with a store full of microtransactions. I really love it and I will vote with my wallet. Cheers
