Made in a close partnership with Games Workshop, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is a story-rich classical RPG from Owlcat Games, developers of the critically acclaimed game, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 27.57/day in the week to Aug 14 → 31.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Begin your adventure aboard your personal, giant voidship, traveling between the multitude of systems within the Koronus Expanse, a barely charted and incredibly perilous region of space. Despite being considered a backwater of the Imperium, this region encompasses an enormous stretch of the void, filled with dangerous creatures and prodigious opportunities for profit and exploration.

Rogue Traders never travel alone. Gather your retinue of righteous heroes, twisted psykers, and perfidious xenos. All of them are ready to follow you into the darkness between the stars. They will offer you counsel, aid you in battle, and allow you to amass ever more power. In return, you can guide them through their own personal journeys, changing their destinies forever.

During quests show your subjects mercy or disdain, stay faithful to the God-Emperor, or consort with enemies of Mankind - your every decision and every act, even in character creation, is changing the in-game open world and those who inhabit it.

Slaughter the enemies of Mankind in a fully-fledged isometric turn-based tactical combat. Take advantage of cover, the environment, and careful positioning to overpower your enemies. When that is not enough - use your companion`s powerful abilities to turn the tide of battle and achieve victory even in the direst of situations. Our video game adaption of the classic Rogue Trader ruleset allows an enormous number of possibilities for you to explore.

Way too many annoying and even game breaking bugs. Owlcat keeps pumping out DLCs for it rather than focusing on fixing major issues.
Hot take first- Rogue Trader is better than BG3, it just lacks the overall production value. Without spoilers- Rogue Trader is one of the most, if not the most reactive RPG I've ever played. Your choices through out the story and events that unfold are very important to the narrative. Every dialog choice is tracked behind the scenes, causing an insane amount of variety and small variations. Just be ready to read a lot. Sadly not everything is voice acted in-game. Exploration consists of exploring an overworld map, going from system to system scanning planets for resources and chasing rumors. You'll come across a lot of roleplay events and smaller PoI's to explore while doing this, but the bulk of the game is story driven through the main, side and companion quests. The companions are all very interesting- all of them have a personal story, react to what's going on around them, tons of depth in general with a great selection of both unique and different classes. Mechanically it's a very satisfying CRPG to play with tons of build variety. You get to pick an Origin and Archetype at character creation. Origins offering unique perks that lean into different kinds of playstyles and roleplay options, while Archetypes act as your standard classes of other CRPGs. Each Archetype offers a different variety of secondary Archetypes to pick from at level 17 creating a huge variety of combinations when you take into account Origin/Tier 1/Tier 2 choices (An example from my Dogmatic for The Empire playthrough. I did a Psyker/Soldier/Arch-Militant gunslinging wizard basically). Itemisation is peak- there are items supporting so many different kinds of playstyles. The newly introduced Augmentation system adds even more depth to this. In true owlcat fashion you have a couple of mini-games- in Rogue Trader those are ship combat and colony management. Colony management is pretty straight forward. As you adventure the Expanse you find resources- use those resources to upgrade colonies for various stat bonus/items/refreshing consumables. There will be tons of little events that come up requiring you to make choices for both roleplay and mechaniacl strength. Ship comabt is probably a love it or hate it mechanic. It's basically it's own turn based combat system. Your ship is basically it's own party member, you level it up, equip it with stuff, get talents etc. Overall, if you like CRPG's with tons of depth, world building, lore, stasfying buildcrafting and you don't mind the lower production value (not as many flashy cutscenes and a lot of reading)- Rogue Trader is an absolute gem. One of the best showing of what Owlcat does, and probably the best 40k game ever made.

What a hell of a game. I didn't expect much going into Rogue Trader: I'm notionally familiar with 40k, and enjoyed games like Dawn of War and Space Marine in the past (and enjoy cRPGs generally). This is easily the most fun I've had with a Warhammer property, and it's one of the best cRPGs I've played. You don't need to know anything about 40k to get into it (many tooltips will help you with lore along the way, if you care about that), the variety of choices are great, and the systems gameplay is great. Took me almost 150hrs to really get through and enjoy everything on my first playthrough, which is a great amount of time for a game. Included the first 3 DLCS in my playtime.
Owlcat have created yet another wonderful world you can experience, especially with their amazing writing and deep class customisation.
Absurdo y pauperrimo. Rogue Trader-n´t
I can't speak on how accurate this game is to the ttrpg rules it's based on as my knowledge of them is based more around D&D and Pathfinder, but what I can say is this; if you enjoyed Kingmaker, Wrath of the Righteous, or similar games, then I believe you'll enjoy this. I certainly have so far and I doubt that'll change. If it does, well, I'll write about it when it happens.
