Wanted Raccoon

Firstly, full props to the developer for producing a Raccoon Simulator. Raccoons need love, and we all love a good trash panda. While I highly recommend this game for topic, fun, and genre, I think its important to acknowledge the flaws. Hopefully, while its in early access, the developers can take feedback and integrate it into development for an even better kick-ass game. And at the end of the day, isn't that what we're all looking for ? A fun raccoon game that lets us live out our raccoon fantasies? So the first major flaw is performance. I'm running it on my Steam Machine, and the default graphics settings suck ass. Frame rate is low and the game is sluggish. Lowering the graphics from the defaults does speed up performance CONSIDERABLY to 30FPS, but graphics deteriorate badly too. I suspect that because its early access and still in development, its not fully optimized. So I can cut it some slack there, but I strongly hope that its something the devs are working on. Secondly, the aiming interface is often missing objects that are right in front of my raccoon, and I have to back up, approach from a different angle, or adjust camera. the X to interact or pick up object will flash briefly while I'm turning the camera and disappear, then I'll have to back up. It's not the worst gameplay issue in the world, but it does make the game feel harder and less immersive. [h1]Now the good[/h1] This game is fricking awesome. I totally love it. Obviously I'm looking at it through rose coloured glasses because, raccoons, right? But it feels cozy, it feels just so joyful. There's a little tension when the hoomans invade, but then freeing my raccoon friends was so elating. I just loved it. I think you will too. I genuinely want this game to be a success, and look forward to seeing its future development. There were like a LOT of achievements in the first few minutes, which does worry me about pacing though and how long the game is in its current state. I do hope for many more hours of play, and I strongly suspect that it will be a nice cozy game to come back to with replay value. Please continue to make our raccoon fantasies come true. I think the price point is fair and if you love raccoons you'll pay that premium. Right now its on a deep discount that is probably TOO good to be true (and for the developer to earn income to support its game development). At your time of purchase, this may differ, as early access games are often sold lower than the final price. But totally worth it for a raccoon lover at full retail.

This game is just like goat simulator except more mischievousness and chunky raccoons!

So is this going to come out of beta or can I get my money back?

Optimized horribly. It's constantly stuttering, freezing, lagging and crashing. The gameplay is boring and lazy. It's so easy to soft lock the game because you interacted with something too early or you don't follow the tutorial exactly. I really wanted to like it.

The game has a cool concept behind it. I can't wait for it to be finished, I wanna play more.

This game while it's still a little glitchy sometimes. Is absolutely adorable and a pretty good game to just watch some cute raccoon butt and waste some time.
