From the ex-Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive team comes a janky love letter to PS2-era action. Play a week in the life of the Zombie Unit: an elite Hong Kong police squad carving through a corporate conspiracy in a storm of swordplay and gunfire. Stylish, brutal, and absolutely not for everyone.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 3.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
A cult classic.
Wanted: Dead is a hybrid slasher/shooter that plays like a lost PS2 disc someone dared to actually finish. It's a hard, weird, gorgeous action game with zero interest in being for everyone. Built by veterans of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive, it fuses razor-precise swordplay with third-person gunfire in a combat system that rewards you for being reckless and stylish at the same time.
Combat with teeth.
Chain melee and gunplay into brutal, screen-filling combos. Parry, dismember, and finish enemies with executions that are as grotesque as they are satisfying. Slow the chaos to a crawl in bullet time and then punish everything on screen. The fights are demanding and occasionally unfair.
A week in the life of the Zombie Unit.
You are Lt. Hannah Stone, leading an elite Hong Kong police squad through a neon-soaked corporate conspiracy. It's a linear and story-rich campaign that swerves without warning from grim ultraviolence to something stranger.
Unapologetically weird.
This is a game where you'll finish a brutal boss fight and then sit down to a lovingly rendered ramen-eating minigame, or a round of karaoke, or an arcade cabinet. The whiplash isn't a bug, it's the personality. It's scrappy, pulpy, and self-aware.
Rough around the edges. On purpose.
Wanted: Dead is niche, distinctive, and proud of its jank. If you grew up on Deadly Premonition, Vanquish, and Lollipop Chainsaw and you've been missing games with this much attitude: welcome home.
Key Features.
Melee that means it: A deep hack-and-slash system with a huge move set and finishers built to slice, dice, and dismember.
Guns in the same breath: Flow straight from the blade into a handpicked arsenal of assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs, and grenade launchers. Melee and gunplay are one nasty rhythm.
50+ brutal finishers: Over fifty unique execution moves, each more grotesque than the last. Deeply unnecessary and yet absolutely the point.
Neon and grime: A cyberpunk Hong Kong where high-tech hardware collides with retro '90s futurism.
A story that swerves: Ride with the Zombie Unit as they pull apart a massive corporate conspiracy in a dystopian Hong Kong. Linear, story-rich, and prone to going somewhere strange.
Genuinely hardcore: These fights will not be kind to you. Steel up and use everything around you to cut through hordes of mercenaries, synthetics, and private security who very much want you dead.
Old-school beat 'em up, modern edge: Wade in, take everything down, keep moving. It's the beat 'em up you grew up on dragged into the present with more blood and better toys.
A love letter to the sixth console generation: Made for anyone who still misses the PS2 era when action games were weird, scrappy, and cool.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Xbox publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

better than whatever bs ign gives a 10 to
The game is fine. Longer explanation: Overall it is fun, but it also has a lot of gameplay issues. The game gives you 10 bullets per picked up gun and thats it. Often the enemies don't even drop a gun. So no ammo for you. The checkpoints where you do get ammo are so weirdly placed. You can kill like 100 enemies, no checkpoint. 4 more ninjas, more guys with miniguns, no checkpoint. And then in an other level you kill 5 enemies, checkpoint. The next checkpoint is around the corner. Makes no sense. Also certain guns don't do damage. The grenade launcher is absolutely useless. It does 0 damage. Not even kidding. If there is some stupid ass angle on the ground so the grenade doesn't have a line of sight to the enemies, it does 0 damage. BUT if the enemy has the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid ass grenade launcher, YOU DIE IN 1 - 2 HITS !!! The grenade goes cobra commando and hunts you down like the dog you are. Sadly the NPC AI is also stupid. You have 3 teammates, and they just exist sometimes. Do 0 damage without their special ability. BUUUUT the special enemy types are like bloodhounds and have heat seeking missiles as swords. You go around the corner, and the ninjas stand there like an eagle and hit you with that BGM-109 Tomahawk special with the ♥♥♥♥ you sauce. I swear, I'm getting angier the longer I'm writing about it. 1-2 hits, and you just die. Sudden Heartattack, I don't know. Everything is a bullet sponge, unless you give them headshots. Still they kind of tank that too. Melee + finishers are awesome , but the guard stance doesn't do much, unless you parry. You often will get juggled too. Nothing you can do about it, EXCEPT MAYBE GETTING A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SEIZURE ABOUT IT! Minigames are fun ! You have bowl eating, karaoke, retro arcade games and claw machines I liked the characters too. So I got the game on sale, and for that, it is still worth it. Kinda hard game though. Would recommend the easy mode.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Get it on a discount. Great ideas, not so good execution. It's like if the main dish was bland but the sides, appetizers, and dessert were delicious.
fun in concept but bad in execution ... not worth your time
esc didnt open the menu so i uninstalled
Great arcadey cover shooter that gets even better on subsequent playthroughs when you have all your skills unlocked. Don't listen to the scrubs who say it's bad because they couldn't mash their way through the campaign, and go check The Electric Underground's review and "Japanese Hard Mode" NG+ No Death clear of the game if you wanna listen to someone who actually undestands how game design works.
Really awesome game, unique gem.
The game is mediocre at best and normally I couldn't be bothered to write anything about it's unsatisfying gameplay or sword fighting, that's only salvaged by its absurdity and style.... but then whoever the f*** decided to AI sloppify store content, so now enjoy the hit to your reviews.
Controls are bad. Visuals are bad. Not worth your time or money.
