Its fine for the price. No meta progression besides unlock characters and starting weapons for them (that I can tell). Meta progressed building a "pet" and it just shows up randomly on levels to ask me to sacrifice health to follow you. Half of the powerups in this game want you to sacrifice your max health or a powerup. I want to grow stronger and powerful, but everything in this game is about removing life or power to get another reward. Really kills the vibe. Nothing synergizes as far as I can tell so theres no real cool builds, just stuff like faster melee and bullets doing different things. Fine for half price at 2 bucks if you just want another roguelike, but you wont be hooked.
