You can play a full campaign with what's here. There's even a final boss fight. It does get a bit repetitious as the game progresses. Not bad, but not great either. Hopefully it will be finished with more polish, but nothing has been done in a long time so no one should count on it. Having said that, at this price I think it's still an overall decent game. Addition: The game was finally updated. I have high hopes that this will be a good one.

Pretty cool story line. Fills the X-COM itch. Price is good if you find it on sell. The replay-ability can get old but the pursuit of story quest makes it fun... Merry Xmas God Bless
Overall, I had fun playing; I would give it a 7 out of 10. I paid about the same as a hamburger combo meal and got many hours of fun out of it. I finished the game with the research ship. The game never crashed or locked up, but it did glitch occasionally. I encountered some bugs, but nothing game breaking. I went with a mixed crew: 2 human mercs, 1 human raider, 1 techno sorcerer, 1 void merc, 1 human assassin. For ground combat: - The human raider was a bit OP and would routinely wipe entire squads by herself using a fire knife. - The human assassin was almost as powerful, but eventually runs out of ammo. - The techno sorcerer is a great all around character and my favorite move was to pull powerful enemies out of cover with recall, so the rest of the squad gets unhindered shots. - The void merc was the typical heavy; some of the abilities seemed lame (at least for my playstyle), like void roar and stomp. - The human mercs were only OK and could have easily been replaced with any other class, they were the last to reach max level, and it got frustrating near the end game holding everyone else back so they could get some exp. I ended up using the best weapons in class, nano meds, and shields mk2 across the board. I eventually put every implant I could get on each character. For space combat: - Once I figured out to keep the "T" crossed; use weapons boost, fast burn, and torpedoes when available, space combat got pretty boring. I almost never got hit, and only the quest fights required any thought. Pros: - The game ran well and I loved the metal soundtrack! - The characters had plenty of appearance options, and I enjoyed the art style. - Various playstyles are supported. Neutral: - The game is too easy for veteran TBS players, there is no difficulty setting. - The different systems are ostensibly ranked for difficulty, but there wasn't much actual difference. Cons (mostly nit-picking): - The game would sometimes get very tedious, especially on missions where you have to eliminate every enemy. - By the end game you have seen every map, done every mission, and killed every enemy type many times; it becomes very repetitive. - The UI is very basic, and sometimes you can't see what you want. Equipment descriptions would be wrong or overwrite each other. - The keyboard controls are janky and some controls cannot be remapped. Long mouse movements are the rule. - The teletype style text boxes got annoying fast. The teletype cannot be disabled, it comes with a tedious delay and an annoying sound to accompany each letter. combined with the fact that adjusting the UI volume would not stick.
Yes its a 1st person shooter. Like XCOM etc. But its kinda easy. Once you have upgraded your crew to the top level and recruited the right crew mix you will walk through everything. The right mix: couple of snipers and make sure you get area effect weapons for everyone else - they kill or damage multiple enemies in one shot. Thats all you need to walk through most scenarios. Oh - and move slowly with a scout and leapfrog tactics. Do not go, bull at a run - you will walk into ambushes and get team members killed. Last: Good game - needs it to go further - AI needs to be a bit more intelligent as it does not use area effect weapons really well - this is your advantage. Last Tip: Do not advance with your last crew member on that turn - you have been warned.
I love the concept his is exactly what I envisioned for Masters of Orion, if they could do a masters of orion, and the combination of X-Com. Pros it has the elements of X-Com. Now if we could incorporate the planet invasion of masters of orion and lets say we have space battles with boarding that would be super awesome! Cons the graphics lack the strengths of X-Com, and Masters of Orion. The combat feel is empty and lacks depth. Recomendation: Add the in depth controls of Earths planetary defenses and sky battle of Xenonaughts. For the Mech side of the house add Battle Tech modification view for Battle Tech. Now incorporate the Four... OMGoodness! If I had the money to fund this I would! You have a huge hit for both single and massive multiplayer play! 1st Phase would be the invasion of earth 2nd Phase take the battle to the stars (Masters of Orion Mode) 3rd Colonization of Planets Two types of space battles, ship to ship or at the same time boarding of ships (winning the ship you gain new tech and another ship to the fleet.) Infantry and mech battles on the planetary surface or on the ships!
le jeu a l air bien, je l ai achat j'espéré qu'ils ont prévu de sortie la langue français
This passionate dev deserve support and from what I saw of the game it is going it is going to be a very cool one for more then a fair price. Thumbs up!
Very neat game, lacking a little in content variety but it's early access so I'm sure that'll change. Think XCom meets the aesthetic of the extraction shooter "Marauders", plus roguelike elements. Already worth a buy at full price for a few hours of fun, but if you're looking for a very deep experience, wait until release (or a discount).
Fun little game. You play as space pirates in a sandbox-ish Tactical RPG. Battles play similar to Xcom2 even though less polished and balanced (the first couple missions are really hard, any subsequent ones are a walk in the park). Cool classes and loads of customisation options for your squad. Two main down sides are: - Despite fighting relatively few enemy squads all battle maps are huuuge. I found myself fairly often wasting time searching the last enemy squad on these massive maps - Don't really see any end game content. There's not loads of equipment you can collect, the important ship components are purchased quickly. After 11 hours, I would really like to continue playing but don't really see anything other than the main quest to achieve... Overall, I recommend the game since I like Xcom2 and hate when you're forced into a campaign that needs to finish. This game is different, it took the good parts from Xcom2 and gave it a more open world without a timer.
