theres an exotic upgrade where your weapon's damage and fire rate are dramatically increased, but only if you're playing the game between midnight and 6 am
The game is good, fun, and challangeing but the fact yeah balancing is meh there are some couple of enemies what just end your run in 2 second because they are armored can freeze you and deal 20% of your health and has deadeye accuracy which is the ranger that thing scares me so like it would be good if that guy could get some balance other then that the game is good

Void Breaker, a first person shooter roguelite. Basically you're some poor SOB and you're locked in an endless cycle of rebirth, running through combat trials while a bigshot AI is watching your every move and studying you. You die, you respawn and do another run, you die again and repeat. Each time you die, you retain some of the currency you collected and can put those into permanent upgrades to make yourself slightly stronger to do better on the next run. There's hints of a deeper narrative through an unknown voice that gives lore tidbits and tries to help you break free of this cycle. It has a very clean and sterile sci-fi aesthetic that I dig. The general environmental design is a clash of natural landscapes like pine forests and beaches and man-made sterile buildings and glitchy artifacts. The most addictive aspect is the progression system. Basically each zone is divided up into islands and you have to fight enemies on each island and survive to get to the next island. At the end of each combat encounter on each island, you open up a chest that has 3 upgrades to make yourself stronger (for that run only) and you can only pick one. This will continue until you make a strong build to will keep you going until you die and then start all over from scratch (you lose the upgrades you collected but you retain currency to buy permanent upgrades for your character to make the next run easier). The game's envionmental destruction puts Battlefield 6 to shame lol. Honestly, the strongest trait of roguelites for me is the emphasis on risk/reward. Void Breaker is amazing at this when the map diverges into two separate paths. Do you go for the corrupter challenge and fight an arena with a wacky mutator to get stronger loot? Or go the other path and play it safe, but be weaker in the long run? It feels like low stakes gambling where I still get adrenaline highs after wins and I don't go into debt and ruin my life if I lose lol. The controls feel butter smooth. Full key remapping along with responsive controls that feel like as precise as Titanfall (without the wall running). Performance is smooth and polished. This can easily run well on lower end PCs and you should have no problems maxing out your monitor's refresh rate. You'll find it hard to believe this game is running on Unreal Engine 5. The only real gripe is that this game is in early access and is light on content. This game needs more maps, more difficulty modifiers, more guns, more mods to play with, more everything. To the solo dev, you are cooking up something special and I'm thankful I spent my money on this early product. Cannot wait to see the final game.
wow, this is possibly the most fast paced roguelike ive ever played, and it does not dissapoint, the fact you have to use structures around you to deal damage optimally and get resource is really fun and interesting. and the ending of the story so far is really intriguing.
please daniel keep this game updated i love it sm
amazing game!
Great game! i really like the modulles and the weopon variants. This game also offers great challenges through the chaos terminal that are a lot of fun after you beat the game for the first time. Right now the game just needs a bit more content especially modules since most end game builds i have got have been variants of the same build. The first boss is WAY too hard in comparrison to the rest of the game if you can beat him you can easily win the run. I hate the purple homing projectiles there are a lot of situations where you just get spammed by them and just die because of it, but overall its a really fun game that i would definetly reccomend if you like roguelikes
Amazing FPS Roguelite.
