very very nice, love the gameplay, love the art
What can i say about this game? I love everything about it. Enemies and their names are interesting and each have their own behaviour and weakness. The writing and dialogue are great and provide tons of humor. The concept of the game, respawning as different characters and embracing death as a part of the game works well and is satisfying. Yes it sucks to die, but this game makes it work. The art style makes it look like its straight from a comic book. Havent really seen much like that in my years of gaming, only other one i can think of is comicjumper, and borderlands to a lesser extent. Decent amount of weapons and upgrades. Character design is very cool and i love the detail. Would reccomend this game for sure.
An okay looter-shooter in the literal sense of running around derelict space ships and salvaging them, while you shoot at mutants, ghosts, ect. By design, the game *is* a roguelike, but the actual penalties a roguelike has aren't as present. You keep all your items when you die, therefore making death mostly a hiccup in progression. Otherwise, the grind itself is rather harmless, fun, varied till you hit the later stages (like Nebula 3-ish.) Some other highlights were the Kevan Brighting jumpscare, and being able to identify the System Shock inspiration just on the gameplay basis alone. The soundtrack for this game is also rather eccentric, and used effectively to keep a nice tempo during combat, and also act as feedback for the player to figure out if they've been found. I'd say get this one on sale.
the pirates got me acting unwise until i realize i have a torpedo
