About

CHAPTER 1: A TALE OF TALL MEN
Our first chapter explores the shocking grief of a coming-of-age story in an industrial fantasy setting. As our eighteen-year-old protagonist meets the esteemed Ret Avidine, Orven has it all: his hero, his city, and his ideals. But when Ret’s project fails, Orven must come into his own adulthood and make difficult decision after decision as he maneuvers through punishing healthcare systems that pit his welfare against his goodness. As Orven’s resolve is tried, it is your choices that determine whether his hope can break through the pervasive smog.

A really charming visual novel with a cast of unique and well fleshed-out characters. The story is quite compelling and your choices actually do matter! Playing on release day, so some quirks here and there but I'm sure they'll iron it out as devs seem very responsive. Def worth the ten bucks.
I WAS SOOOO EXCITED FOR THIS RELEASE!!!! The game was soooo incredible, with the beautiful art, the amazing sound effects and stellar voice acting--it really brought the world to life. I've had this game on my wishlist for forever, and I bought it as soon as it released!!! It's really such a precious story about a coming-of-age youth with a heartwarming hero's journey ahead of him, all with the backdrop of a thrilling medical mystery and a shocking murderous twist!! It's just soo sosoosososo GOOD. Also the COOKING--soooo cozy and really was a lot of fun while breaking up the story nicely. I think it's hard to create a world where everyone is so distinct but also so likeable, and that's a talent and creative skill that can only be God-given. I can't wait for the future chapters, and I think this is going to be such a hit game one day!!! Mark my words!!! :)

I'm having a good time getting to know the magical world and big cast. The art is gorgeous and the dialogue made me actually l o l at times. Some of the point and click sections are finicky, but I like the added puzzles to the main visual novel gameplay. All the characters in the intro look cool, hope we get to play them soon 🙏
Just started out but wanted to leave a review on how great this game has been so far. The attention to detail, intentionality behind the choose-your-own-adventure storyline, and artistic style ranging from the music to the clearly hand-drawn art, have been impressive so wanted to leave a few comments. It's clear much time and care the team placed on creating this game and the quality, responsiveness of the team to discussions, and background of the game design only enhances the experience. Based on my current progress and my experience with the demo, as someone that enjoys choice-driven games, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a refreshingly creative and thoughtfully designed story. I'm excited to update my review after I finish the Chapter
I haven’t finished the first chapter yet but wanted to drop a quick review with first impressions. I’ll update this review when I’m done with my playthrough. Overall: Would highly recommend! Ventreville is a great game with super engaging visuals, music, and dialogue. I’m genuinely intrigued by the plot! I kind of have no idea where it’s going and it’s a little nerve-wracking that my choices change the story. Love the fun bonus features I wasn’t expecting, like making a meal and finding clues. This game is super cozy—honestly like a warm hug at points—and was perfect for the end of a work week.
I loved this game experience. I got really into the story, and I plan to play again to get to know some of the characters better. So happy I got the successful ending but wow what a cliff hanger! It was perfect for a cozy night game. The music was lovely, and I enjoyed the writing and pacing a lot. This is definitely an indie game company worth following. Looking forward to more chapters!
Really liked Ventreville and all of its characters! I don't usually play visual novels, but this one really caught my attention. Great dialogue, an intriguing murder-mystery story, and lots of alternative endings.
If you wake me up in the middle of the night and ask what engine the game runs on, I'd say: Godot Game Engine. And do you know why? The splash screen with that company's name has been running on my laptop for five hours now, which is why Steam Support refuses to refund my money for the game. Please test your game before releasing it.
His name should be Thronk 0/10 unplayable It looks good, it sounds good, and the writing is really good. It was worth getting even just for the one route I played so far. At least there are more routes to play cause I want more chapters now
