I remember this game being tedious and boring, but it's pretty fun with the enhanced edition mod on ModDB. It makes some changes I don't like though, including outfit textures, so even that I had to tweak myself (Which is easy. The game is surprisingly simple to customize in the files). I like the presentation. The skyboxes and lighting are still pretty to look at, and the stealth kill animations are really well done. Really only pick this up if you've played every other great stealth game to death and you're willing to do some editing or troubleshooting. Or if you just must have a WWII themed one with a cute protagonist. And speaking of, they really had no faith in this game huh? The whole marketing, store and launcher background, and even the loading screens sometimes are just Violet with her ass turned to the camera. It's embarrassing. Even the name itself, 'Velvet Assassin', really makes me cringe. Sounds like the name of a 70's sexploitation movie. I'm all for gratuitous butt shots, but the tone of the game has to match or it just feels wrong. If you can't get it to run, uninstall the legacy drivers, reinstall them, and reboot your computer. Problem solved.

Это стелс-экшен, но упор здесь именно на стелс. Если вы обнаружили себя или не аккуратно положили труп, то скорее всего вернетесь на контрольную точку. В начале игра очень воодушевляет, но чем дальше играете тем больше проблем. Болванчики на НПС могут замечать вас там, где недолжны и иногда через предметы и стены, а это очень критично. Так же в самом стелсе у нас очень странно работает механика скрытности, вас могут заметь даже если вы в тени(кустах и т.д.). Механика тени работает нестабильно и всегда нужно смотреть на индикатор, иначе может оказаться, что вы в тени, но индикатор показывает обратное. Все проблемы игры становятся очень явными в самом конце и проявляются четче чем в основной части. По сюжетной части сказать особо нечего, обычный сетинг по второй мировой, но со стелсом. Если в наше время сделают полноценный ремейк игры без проблем которые я описал выше, то из нее может выйти очень хороший тайтл. От себя могу порекомендовать, но с оговоркой на проблемы игры и немного кривыми механиками. Думаю твердые 6 из 10

Decent enough if clearly unpolished. Shame the devs only made this and Tunnel Rats of all things. (Very much seems like they had dev time and budget on this one.)

VIOLETTA VS GERMAN SOOOOOOOOLDIER

First, ignore reviews of those saying they can't install the game "so it's bad", they're LAZY. Open the community tab and just look at the first post, It will tell you how, READ. Second, the positive reviews are either paid or checked out of life, cuz this game is the WORSE stealth game in this reality... (For now) Also I got this game around 2012 for like .85c... even on sell it's a waste if money. THEY NEED TO MAKE THIS FREE IF ANYTHING. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mind you I played this on the hardest difficulty... This game is absolute DOG WATER, do NOT buy even as a goof. AND if for some ungodly reason you do. CHEESE this game, hug corners, just do anything to brake this game, cuz that's all you can do. - The enemies will spawn in at random times, most times behind you, you can be in complete cover and the enemy will still find/see you. - Once the alarm is triggered, the enemies will auto target you, and know you're position, EVEN if you move... that's bad gameplay. Period. - Most times you can have the enemy in your sights, and the hit/damage won't even register. BUT if they shoot at you, you'll be instantly hit. Most times behind cover. - They'll even spawn in, inside each other so, you'll take one out only to realize to late their ACTUALLY TWO... - [Edit] Also you ALWAYS need to find a weapon... as if you didn't just stop the breathing of 20 guys a few seconds back... but can't pick up their weapons? Clowns It's not worth the irritation, fr fr... Burn this game from you're thoughts save the money... I wish I could have...
