This is my first game by this company and all i can say is yes. Very often I play a game and after I do I am left with nothing but a empty, well that was a waste of time feeling. This one however is one of the good one's throughout the whole game i was able to picture my charecter and all the others. As well as the Enviroment so vividly in my mind that i often lost track of time. Pair that with me sitting in my house listining to music and cleaning and a chill song painting a picture of my charecter and Salem sitting in the bookshop and house relaxing. Dam good game worth every minuit i put in. 9.5 out of 10 will play agian
You have returned to the small town outside of Chicago to bury your grandfather. Having spent a lot of your childhood here, you reckon you know the town, but there is something different, and it feels off. Plus you are not sure you even really knew your grandfather, in spite of being very close to him, and being the the beneficiary of his will. And your choices start even before you get to town as something strange happens on the road in. Whether you believe in vampires or not, you are up to your neck in strange doings and need to enlist friends old and new to find out what is going on, and then work out what, if anything, you are going to do about it. Choices definitely matter in this game and they heavily influence the outcome. A quick look at the achievements should give you some idea of just how replayable this game is, and some of the characters you meet on your playthrough will only appear depending on the choices you make, so one play will not reveal the whole story, probably not even half of it, and its easy to miss something important that would influence future decisions and outcomes. If you are interested in the WoD and VtM in particular, this is a good introduction to the lore and the background, even if you have never played one of these games before. You get to choose who your character is, their strengths and weaknesses, and how they can build their skills, all of which is relevant to what you discover, the friends you can rely on, and the outcomes you can achieve. It even influences your love interest, if you want a spot of romance, either human or vampiric. So vampire hunter, mediator, or hoping to be embraced, make your life choices and live with the consequences, no matter how bloody and what it costs.

Vampire: The Masquerade — Out for Blood is an text-based urban dark fantasy thriller adventure based on the popular World of Darkness franchise of tabletop role-playing games. in Out for Blood, you create and portray the grandchild of an ill-fated Hunter. Your character inherits their grandparent's small-town business in Chicago, Illinois and is tasked with resolving an ongoing turf war between local vampires hiding in town whilst, at the same time, staying out of trouble and out of debt. With this premise in mind, this game honestly plays more like a Hunter: The Reckoning chronicle than a Vampire: The Masquerade game, especially since your character starts out as a mortal. Furthermore, depending on how well you develop and navigate your character, you can spare them from being embraced into vampirism. As an example, during my initial playthrough of this game, I developed and portrayed a kind-hearted and down-to-earth thrift store owner with high Composure, Intelligence and Resolve. Though my character started out as a soft-hearted outsider, I ultimately developed them into a compassionate and sharp-witted Buddhist whose courage and True Faith led them to vanquish the Camarilla ancilla and her vampiric influence. This game is well-structured in a twelve-chapter narrative, fleshed out with a diverse cast of characters as well as various scenes which pay homage to numerous pre-existing horror media, from classic vampire novels to 1980s horror cinema: Bram Stoker, Stephen King, John Carpenter, Stanley Kubrick, you-name-it! This is what makes Out for Blood a charming supernatural rollercoaster to remember. If I had one thing to complain about this game, it's that I wish this game probably incorporated Hunter Edges and Perks. Then again, this game was published before Hunter: The Reckoning had its long-awaited 5th edition released. Therefore, if this game were to receive a sequel or a re-release, I would love to see additions from Hunter's 5th edition made.
Considering the absolute glut of good VtM RPGs, this is fine. I liked the writing, I enjoyed the fact it's progressive in both letting you be queer, and having multiple queer characters in it. For some reason though, it won't let me romance more than one character without forcing me to either choose one or none of them. ♥♥♥♥ that. It's a text-based RPG. You can't get away with saying it would be too much work.
